Abstract

A portable multimedia playing device includes a housing, a receiving module installed inside the housing for receiving a radio signal transmitted for a transmitter, a tuner installed inside the housing and coupled to the receiving module for scanning channels of the radio signal so as to build a frequency table corresponding to the radio signal, a GPS receiving module installed inside the housing for receiving location information of the portable multimedia playing device transmitted from a GPS system, a memory module installed inside the housing for storing the frequency table and a frequency-location lookup table, and a processing module installed inside the housing and coupled to the GPS receiver and the memory module for comparing the location information and the frequency-location lookup table so as to generate a comparison result and for operating a command according to the comparison result.

比式系統轉換成數位式系統。類比系統往往受地形地物因 素影響而有接收不良或訊號忽強忽弱的現象,數位視訊廣 播(Digital Video Broadcasting,DVB)系統以及數位音訊廣 播(Digital Audio Broadcasting,DAB)系統則可以克服此類 干擾’提供更高晝質與更佳音質的節目。同時,頻譜的使 用可以更有效率,數位系統使用與類比系統相同的頻寬可 以傳送更多的節目。 一般來說,世界各國發射數位視訊廣播訊號或數位音 訊廣播訊號之頻帶與頻寬皆不盡相同,一般都以國家作為 區別,例如台灣區目前開播之頻帶為533Hz至6〇3Hz,且 頻寬為6MHz(以DVB-T為例),而其他國家例如德國、加 拿大等又有所不同,而這些專屬某一特定區域之頻帶與頻 7 200901030 寬資料都會被儲存於數位電視裝置或數位廣播播放裝置之 _,當區域設定錯誤時則會發生收不到訊號之狀況。故當
