Description
The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, namely to steelmaking, and concerns the construction of a profitable extension for insulating the head part of an ingot when casting calm steel.
The aim of the invention is to improve the insulating properties, to facilitate the removal of the lining after wear.
FIG. 1 shows a profitable extension; in fig. 2 — lining manufacturing process; in fig. 3 - Lining recovery process.
The profitable extension includes a body 1, the lining of refractory concrete 2 and a cavity 3 filled with loose thermal insulation material.
The process of making the lining and backfill of a heat insulating material is shown in FIG. 2, where the following symbols are accepted: 1 - the body of a profitable extension; 2 - a portion of the refractory concrete lining; 3 - bulk material; 4 - vibroheart, 5 - removable core, A - the lower horizontal portion of the lining, B-inclined portion of the lining, C-upper horizontal portion of the lining.
The technological process of making the lining is as follows.
A removable core 5 is inserted into the cavity between the housing 1 and the vibrating heart 4 and fixed relative to the housing so that it does not reach the lower flange of the housing by an amount equal to the thickness of the lining-like part.
At stage a (Fig. 2A) form the lower horizontal portion of the lining And equal to the thickness of the gap between the removable core 5 and the lower shelf of the extension. ком 8 и вибросердечником 4 подают и уплотн ют бетонную смесь.com 8 and a vibrating core 4 feed and compact the concrete mix.
At stage b (Fig. 26), bulk material is poured into the gap between the removable core 5 and the body of the extension 1 3. The loose material does not reach the top of the extension by an amount equal to the thickness of the upper horizontal section of the lining C. Then an inclined section of the lining is made. For this The concrete mix is fed and compacted into the gap between the vibrating core 4 and the removable core 5.
3).At the stage in (Fig. 2c), the removable core 8 is removed by its vertical movement upwards, and the upper horizontal portion of the lining C is made. For this, the concrete mix is fed into the gap between the extension body 1 and the top of the inclined portion of lining B. The profitable extension with the manufactured lining is removed with a vibrocord 4 and set for drying. After drying the lining profitable extension is ready for use. After the lining is out of service, it is necessary to remove it and replace it with a new one. The removal of a worn lining is performed by pushing it out of the body (Fig. 3).
Making the lining of heat-resistant concrete-like with a cavity open to the side of the body eliminates direct contact of the lining of heat-resistant concrete with the body at a significant part of the height of the extension and thereby reduces heat loss through the lining, which in turn leads to improved thermal performance head of the ingot and reduction of metal scrap.
A significant reduction in the contact area of the lining of heat-resistant concrete with the walls of the shell makes it easier and simpler to remove the lining after it is worn. Removing the liner is made possible by pushing it out of the extension body. At the same time, due to the exclusion of shock effects on the hull, an increase in its service life should be expected.
The indicated ratio of the thickness of the shaped part of the refractory lining to its total thickness (0.35-0.7) was established experimentally, proceeding from the maximum achievement of the objectives of the invention without reducing the time
The thickness of the shaped portion of the lining varies in the range of 40-90 mm, with a total thickness of the lining of 100-120 mm.
The deviation from the specified limits of the ratio of the thickness of the lined portion of the refractory concrete lining and the total thickness of the lining (0.35-0.7) in the direction of reduction is impossible under the terms of the manufacture of the lining by vibration compaction and technically impractical in terms of providing the necessary overall rigidity and strength linings. When performing - shaped part of the lining
толщиной меньшей 0,35 общей толщины футеровки в Силу отсутстви необходимой жесткости и прочности происходит механическое ее разрушение и существенное снижение срока службы футеровки,a thickness of less than 0.35 of the total thickness of the lining in the strength of the absence of the necessary rigidity and strength occurs mechanical its destruction and a significant reduction in the service life of the lining,
The deviation from the indicated limits of the ratio (0.35-0.7) in the direction of increasing negates the essence of the invention, since it does not provide a practically significant reduction of heat loss and improvement of the metal insulation in the head part of the ingot, and also cannot be completely removed from shell extensions -shaped part of the lining. When ejecting the -shaped part of the lining from the body, unremoved and
Как правило, этот участок представл ет собой замкнутое кольцо, удаление которого возможно только вручную.the lower horizontal portion of this part remains intact. Typically, this area is a closed ring, which can only be removed manually.
When the above ratio (0.35-0.7) is fulfilled, this horizontal section, when pushing the -shaped part of the lining, breaks down and its removal is easy.
