Abstract

In a convection oven having an oven chamber (12) forming part of a closed circulation path for heated air and being bounded at one side by a vertical wall section (19) comprising an air inlet (21) which opens into the oven chamber (12) and extends over the full height of the oven chamber, an air supply duct (20) is disposed on the side of the wall section facing away from the oven chamber (12) and likewise extends over the full height of the oven chamber. At its upper end the air supply duct (20) is connected with the outlet of a circulation fan, and over the full height of the inlet (21) the air supply duct is in communication with the inlet. A multiplicity of air deflecting elements (31) distributed over the full height of the inlet (21) confer an upwardly directed flow component on the air entering the oven chamber.
