Abstract

An extruded sealing strip of rubber or plastics material, for fitting to a bodywork edge 5 e.g. of an automobile comprises at least one flexible lip 2 having, near its free edge, an auxiliary protuberance 3 which is attached by a contracted or constricted zone so as to be easily detachable. The detached protuberance 3 serves for unfurling and guiding the lip 2 so as to ensure correct positioning adjacent to the bodywork edge 5. <IMAGE>
