Abstract

The tree seedling cultivation technique uses peat as the growing medium. The cultivation medium (10) is prepared with a seed and a water impermeable, bottom open cover (11). The medium is then wetted to start the germination. - The seedling starts to grow and is brough up over an air bed under controlled conditions until the seedling is strong enough for planting out. The water impermeable cover (11) is held intact during germination, growth, transport and planting out. The cover is left until it decomposes or degrades.
