Abstract

PURPOSE:To receive a station which is satisfactory in not only a receiving level but also a receiving quality in case of being switched to other station, by controlling a tuning operation of a tuner in accordance with a distortion level of an output of the tuner, and a tuning command for commanding the tuning of the tuner in accordance with a receiving level, in a receiver provided with a tuning control means. CONSTITUTION:An output of a tuner 2 is provided to a distortion level detecting circuit 8 and a receiving level detecting circuit 6. An output of the circuit 8 inputs a signal of a high level to one terminal of an AND circuit 10 when a distortion level of the output has become a prescribed value or below and also this state has been continued for a prescribed period. On the other hand, when the circuit 6 becomes a prescribed level which has been set in advance, a tuning command signal is applied to a control part 7. When the tuning command signal is applied, the control part 7 makes derivation of this signal hold, and inputs a signal showing its holding state to the other terminal of the circuit 10. An output of the circuit 10 is operated as a signal for releasing said holding state in the control part 7.
