1278467 Rear tightener for safety ski bindings H MARKER 21 Oct 1969 [7 March 1969 14 May 1969] 51615/69 Heading A6D A rear tightener for safety ski bindings comprises a heel holding-down member 16 pivotally attached by two tension rods 14, 15 to the forked arm 10 of a push rod 9 which is pivoted at its centre 8 to a guide lever 6 pivotally attached to a base plate 1 secured to the ski and has on its other arm 11 a roller 12 resting on the ski. A releasable locking device in the form of a cross member 13 having a central hump 17 is pivoted between the ends of the forked arm 10 of the push rod 9, the hump 17 being secured beneath the raised portion 4 of base plate 1 for downhill runs, and engagable in a recess 18 (as shown) or lying along the top of portion 4 for crosscountry walking.
