Abstract
Description
The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, specifically to the production of electrical isotropic steel used for the manufacture of high-frequency motors for electric vehicles and electrical devices with high energy efficiency.
A characteristic feature of the quality of such steel is a combination of alternative multidirectional characteristics - low specific magnetic losses, high magnetic induction on the one hand and a high level of strength properties (yield strength, tensile strength) on the other hand. Obtaining the required level of these characteristics is achieved by optimizing the structural and textural states of steel, determined by the chemical composition and metal processing technology.
One way to increase the complex of magnetic properties (reduce specific magnetic losses, increase magnetic induction) and simultaneously increase strength properties is to reduce the content of impurity elements (carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, titanium), alloying with elements such as manganese, silicon, aluminum, antimony or tin , as well as control of the processes of structure and texture formation during heat treatment of hot-rolled steel.
The closest in technical essence and taken as a prototype to the proposed invention is a method for the production of electrical isotropic steel, given in the patent of the Russian Federation No. and out-of-furnace processing, steel with a low content of impurity elements is used, hot rolling is carried out in a two-phase (γ-α) region, and final annealing at a temperature of 900-1050°C. The combination of the chemical composition and the technological parameters used makes it possible to reduce the level of specific magnetic losses in the finished steel while ensuring high strength characteristics (hardness). The disadvantage of this method is the relatively low level of magnetic and non-optimal level of strength properties of the finished metal. This method does not take into account the influence of other alloying elements, as well as changes in structure and texture during normalization annealing.
The technical task, the implementation of which is directed by the technical solution of the present invention, is to obtain a favorable structural and textural state of the finished electrical isotropic steel. This achieves such a technical result as providing low specific magnetic losses, high magnetic induction and a high level of strength properties (yield strength, tensile strength) in the finished steel.
The solution of the problem in the proposed method for the production of cold-rolled electrical isotropic steel is provided by steel smelting, combined blowing of the steel melt in the converter, decarburization of the steel melt in vacuum, alloying of the steel melt with ferrosilicon, continuous casting of the steel melt into slabs, hot rolling of slabs, normalization annealing, pickling , single or multiple cold rolling with intermediate annealing and final annealing with or without electrical insulating coating. Steel has the following chemical composition, wt. %: less than 0.005 carbon, 2.5 to 3.5 silicon, 0.05 to 1.00 manganese, less than 0.010 nitrogen, less than 0.015 sulfur, 0.1 to 1.5 aluminum, 0.01 to 0 10 antimony or tin, less than 0.01 titanium, iron and inevitable impurities - the rest. Normalization annealing is carried out at a temperature of 800-1100°C with exposure for 60-180 s.
The level of magnetic and mechanical properties, as well as obtaining a certain ratio of them, is significantly affected by the chemical composition and the mode of normalization annealing.
0,005%.Carbon in a metal either combines with iron, forming iron carbides, or is in solid solution in the form of interstitial atoms. Both carbides and interstitial atoms lead to the scattering of the magnetic flux during magnetization reversal, and, accordingly, cause an increase in the total specific magnetic losses due to an increase in the hysteresis component of the losses. In this regard, the upper limit of the carbon content is 0.005%.
Silicon is an element that provides an increase in the electrical resistance of steel and, accordingly, a decrease in specific magnetic losses due to a decrease in their eddy current component. Silicon also provides an increase in strength characteristics due to solid solution strengthening. At the same time, an increase in the silicon content leads to a decrease in the manufacturability of steel during cold rolling. The lower (2.5 wt. %) and upper (3.5 wt. %) limits of the silicon content are established based on an acceptable level of specific magnetic losses, strength characteristics, and satisfactory processability during cold rolling.
%.Sulfur has a negative effect on specific magnetic losses. In this regard, the upper limit of the sulfur content is 0.015 wt. %.
%.Also, minimization of the negative impact of sulfur is achieved by alloying steel with manganese, which, when combined with sulfur, forms manganese sulfides. Manganese sulfides, having a rounded shape and rather large dimensions, have a minimal negative effect on magnetic flux scattering compared to sulfides of other elements. The minimum content of manganese is set on the basis of a threefold stoichiometric ratio of the contents of manganese and sulfur - 0.05 wt. %. Manganese, as well as silicon (but to a lesser extent), increases the electrical resistance of the metal (reducing the level of specific magnetic losses) and provides solid-solution strengthening (yield strength and tensile strength). At the same time, this effect is maximally observed when its content is increased to 1%. With a further increase in its content, the effect is less pronounced, while also increasing the cost of steel production; therefore, the upper limit of the manganese content is 1.00 wt. %.
%.N has a high affinity for aluminum. Combining with aluminum to form nitrides, it leads to an increase in the scattering of the magnetic flux during magnetization reversal, an increase in the hysteresis component of specific magnetic losses (as a result, an increase in the overall level of specific magnetic losses). In this regard, the upper limit of the nitrogen content is limited to 0.010 wt. %.
Aluminum, in addition to the formation of nitrides, leads to an increase in the resistance of steel (reduction of specific magnetic losses) and an increase in the yield strength and tensile strength. An increase in the aluminum content leads to an increase in the cost and a decrease in the manufacturability of rolled products during cold rolling. The lower (0.1 wt.%) and upper (1.5 wt.%) limits of the aluminum content are established based on the complete binding of nitrogen into nitrogen nitrides (nitrogen in atomic form, being in a solid solution, has a more negative effect on magnetic properties compared to nitrides) and ensuring the optimal ratio of magnetic properties, cost and manufacturability of rolled products.
%.Antimony and tin are surface active elements that increase the density of the cubic component (200), which is favorable for magnetic properties (specific magnetic losses, magnetic induction). Additionally, these elements block the metal nitriding process, which can occur during final annealing in a protective nitrogen-hydrogen atmosphere. An increase in the content of these elements leads to inhibition of ferrite grain growth during final annealing and, as a result, can lead to an increase in specific magnetic losses. In this regard, their lower content limit is set to 0.01 wt. %, and the top - 0.10 wt. %.
%.Titanium in electrical isotropic steel due to the formation of dispersed compounds (carbides, nitrides, carbonitrides, etc.) has a negative effect on the level of magnetic properties due to additional scattering of the magnetic field on them. In this regard, its content is limited to 0.01 wt. %.
Normalization annealing leads to a change in the structure and texture of hot-rolled steel, which are inherited in subsequent stages.
On the basis of the conducted laboratory and industrial studies, the boundary conditions of the normalization annealing regime were established - the annealing temperature and time.
(310).To simultaneously obtain a high complex of magnetic properties (low specific magnetic losses and high magnetic induction) and a high level of strength characteristics, it is necessary to form an optimal ferrite micrograin size (~100-150 μm) in the finished steel and maximize the pole density of the cubic texture orientation (200) and close orientations (310) to it.
Based on the analysis of the results of the studies carried out, it was noted that obtaining the optimal micrograin size and the maximum pole density of (200) and (310) orientations in the texture of cold-rolled annealed strips is ensured in the temperature range of normalization annealing 800–1100°C and holding times at these temperatures 60–180 With.
The lower interval of temperature and holding time is set based on the following conditions. Hot-rolled steel has an uneven cross-sectional structure - recrystallized equiaxed ferrite grains in the surface layer and polygonized or non-recrystallized ferrite grains in the intermediate and central layers. When carrying out normalization annealing at a holding temperature of less than 800°C and/or holding time of less than 60 s, the change in the structure does not occur over the entire cross section of the metal. Grains with a polygonized or partially recrystallized structure remain in the central layer. Incomplete recrystallization leads to an incomplete potential of maximizing the pole density of the cubic (200) texture orientation and the (310) orientation close to it and, as a result, obtaining high specific magnetic losses and low magnetic induction.
The upper interval of temperature and holding time is set based on the following conditions. An increase in the holding temperature of more than 1100°C and a holding time of more than 180 s during normalization annealing leads to the formation of a very coarse ferrite grain in the structure of the normalized rolling, which in turn leads to a decrease in processability during cold rolling (risk of breaks) and a decrease in the yield strength in the finished product. become.

Example.
PJSC "NLMK" carried out pilot production of cold-rolled electrical isotropic steel according to the proposed method. Steel smelting was carried out in converter shop No. 1 in a converter with a capacity of 160 tons with combined blowing. Then the resulting melt was poured into a steel ladle. Decarburization of liquid metal was carried out in a vacuum using a circulating degasser for a specified time, after which ferrosilicon was added to the melt in the steel-pouring ladle. Then, continuous casting of liquid metal was carried out at the CCM through a tundish and a mold into slabs, 250 × (900-1300) mm in size, containing 0.0026-0.0033 wt. % C, 3.061-3.097 wt. % Si, 0.166-0.167 wt. % Mn, 0.003 wt. % N, 0.0015-0.0017% S, 1.076-1.093 wt. % Al, 0.032-0.040% Sn, 0.0025-0.0031 wt. % Ti, Fe - rest. Then hot rolling of the obtained slabs was carried out in the hot rolling shop. The slabs were heated to a temperature of 1210-1220°C, the heating time was 3.5-4.0 hours. The rolling was carried out for a thickness of 2.0 mm, the temperature of the end of the rough rolling was 1020-1060°C, the temperature of the end of the finishing rolling was 850-870°C. The rolled strips were wound into a roll with a winding temperature of 615-630°C. After that, further processing of the received coils was carried out in the shop of dynamo steels. Normalization annealing was carried out in a normalization unit at temperatures of 850°C with exposure for 120–160 s. Pickling of normalized rolls was carried out on a continuous pickling unit in hydrochloric acid. Cold rolling was carried out on a reversing mill to thicknesses of 0.35 and 0.30 mm in one or two stages (with intermediate heat treatment at a temperature of 900°C). After cold rolling, the final (recrystallization) annealing was carried out in a nitrogen-hydrogen protective atmosphere with a hydrogen content of 30-40% at a temperature of 910-930°C.
From the analysis of the data presented (table), we can conclude that the complex of magnetic and mechanical properties (specific magnetic losses P 1.5/50 and P 1.0/400 , magnetic induction B 5000 , yield strength σ t , tensile strength σ in ) obtained steel using the proposed method is higher than that of steel obtained by the previously known method.
Thus, the use of the proposed method makes it possible to ensure that the characteristics of the resulting product comply with both standard requirements and additional consumer requirements for magnetic and mechanical properties.
