Abstract
Description
Изобретение относится к области гидрометаллургии платиновых металлов, в частности к методам регенерации металлов из растворенных отработанных катализаторов автомобильной и химической промышленности, из шламов электролитического рафинирования меди, и области переработки отработавшего ядерного топлива (ОЯТ).The invention relates to the field of hydrometallurgy of platinum metals, in particular to methods for the recovery of metals from dissolved spent catalysts of the automotive and chemical industries, from sludge of electrolytic refining of copper, and the field of processing spent nuclear fuel (SNF).
Platinum group metals (PGM) (including rhodium, ruthenium, palladium) are used in various fields of science and technology. The industrial use of PGMs and their compounds is due to their unique physical and chemical properties - refractoriness, ability to adsorb gases, high resistance to chemical reagents, etc.
Interest in PGMs in the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel from nuclear power plants is primarily due to their behavior during vitrification of high-level waste (HLW). The key problem of vitrification technology is the stable operation of the melter, which melts the glass melt. When glass with PGM components is obtained in matrix melts, heterogeneous phases are formed that can change the distribution of electric currents in the melting zone of the melter and thereby unpredictably affect the technological process, including equipment failure. In addition, PGMs form heterogeneous inclusions in glass, reducing its quality. The presence of significant amounts of molybdenum also reduces the quality of glasses intended for disposal of HLW.
A known method of precipitation of ruthenium, rhodium, palladium from highly active nitric acid solutions with sodium salt of formaldehyde sulfoxylic acid with an excess of the reagent in relation to nitric acid> 1.7 [Patent RU2147619, IPC C22B 11/00, C22B 3/44, C22B 7/00, publ. 04/20/2000]. The completeness of PGM extraction is declared> 99%. The degree of PGM purification from accompanying metals is more than 99. The disadvantage of this method is a narrow range of nitric acid concentrations (no more than 1.4 mol / dm 3 ), as well as the introduction of sulfur-containing reagents into HLW, which is undesirable for handling them.
The known method of precipitation of rhodium, palladium, ruthenium with thiocyanate of an alkali metal [Patent RU 2239666, IPC C22B 11/00, C22B 3/44, publ. 10.11.2004]. Precipitation is carried out from solutions of nitric acid with a concentration of 2-3 mol / dm 3 with a 30% excess of the reagent in relation to nitric acid. The resulting precipitate is calcined at 750-800 ° C to obtain a mixture of metals. The output of PGM is 94-99.5%. After the formation of thiocyanate complexes of rhodium, palladium, ruthenium and the passage of the induction period (2-3 hours), the oxidation reaction of excess thiocyanate ion with nitric acid begins. The reaction products are sulfate ion and gaseous carbon dioxide and molecular nitrogen.
К недостаткам способа относится изменение химического состава ВАО (образование сульфат-иона), что нежелательно для проведения процесса остекловывания, а также большая длительность процесса осаждения (как показано в Примере 1).The disadvantages of this method include a change in the chemical composition of HLW (the formation of sulfate ion), which is undesirable for the vitrification process, as well as a long duration of the deposition process (as shown in Example 1).
The technical result to be achieved by the claimed solution consists in simplifying the method for extracting rhodium, ruthenium, palladium from nitric acid solutions with a nitric acid concentration of up to 5.0 mol / dm 3 and increasing the degree of their extraction.
The technical result is achieved by the fact that the method for extracting rhodium, ruthenium and palladium from nitric acid solutions with a nitric acid concentration of up to 5.0 mol / dm 3 consists in adding a soluble iron (III) salt and potassium hexacyanoferrate (II) to the nitric acid solution in quantities providing the molar ratio of potassium hexacyanoferrate (II): Fe 3+ : ΣMPG = 2: 2: 1, where
(III),Fe 3+ - soluble salt of iron (III) nitate,
MPG is the sum of recoverable platinum group metals.
The extraction of platinum group metals is carried out at a temperature of 80 ° C.
A highly active nitric acid solution of the spent nuclear fuel reprocessing technology is used as a nitric acid solution containing platinum group metals.
The method is carried out as follows:
To a nitrate solution having a concentration of nitric acid to 5.0 mol / dm 3 was added with stirring a soluble salt of iron (III), for example, ferric nitrate (III), Fe (NO 3) 3, then added hexacyanoferrate (II) potassium, e.g., yellow blood salt (YS) powder, K 4 [Fe (CN) 6 ] 3 , subject to the molar ratio of YS: Fe 3+ : ΣMPG = 2: 2: 1. As a result, PGM - rhodium, ruthenium and palladium are separated from the solution into a precipitate, forming a composite based on hexacyanoferrate (II). The extraction of PGMs is carried out at 80 ° C with stirring for 2 hours.
1.Example 1.
Portions of 1.0 mol / dm 3 of a nitric acid solution with concentrations of Rh, Ru, and Pd, 150 mg / dm 3, are stirred for 2 hours with weighed portions of FSC, taken on the basis of the molar ratio of FSC: ΣMPG = 1: 1. The experiments were carried out at 20, 50, and 80 ° C.
The maximum recovery of the total PGM, which is 59%, is observed at a temperature of 80 ° C, at 20 and 50 ° C, the recovery of the amount of PGM is 28 and 47%, respectively.
3.To a portion of 1.0 mol / dm 3 nitric acid solution with concentrations of Rh, Ru, and Pd 150 mg / dm 3 add iron (III) nitrate to the molar ratio Fe 3+ : ΣMPG = 1: 1. Then, at a temperature of 80 ° C, FLC is added to the solution to the molar ratio to the sum of PGMs from 1 to 3.
86%.The introduction of iron ions into the initial solution increases the total extraction of PGMs into the composite at an optimal ratio of FSC: ΣMPG = 2: 1 to 86%.
2.Iron (III) nitrate is added to a 1.0 mol / dm 3 portion of a nitric acid solution with Rh, Ru, and Pd concentrations of 150 mg / dm 3 to a molar ratio of Fe 3+ : ΣMPG from 0.5 to 3. Then at 80 ° C, FLC is added to the solution to a molar ratio to the sum of PGM 2.
The introduction of iron ions into the initial solution increases the total extraction of PGMs into the composite. The recovery reaches 88% at a Fe 3+ : ΣMPG ratio of 2: 1. A further increase in the ratio does not lead to an increase in the extraction of PGMs into the composite.
К порции раствора с содержанием азотной кислоты до 5 моль/дм3 с концентрациями Rh, Ru, и Pd по 150 мг/дм3 добавляют нитрат железа(III) и при 80°С в раствор добавляют ЖКС до мольного отношения ЖКС:Fe3+:ΣМПГ = 2:2:1.Iron (III) nitrate is added to a portion of the solution with a nitric acid content of up to 5 mol / dm 3 with concentrations of Rh, Ru, and Pd at 150 mg / dm 3 , and at 80 ° C, the fatty acid solution is added to the solution until the molar ratio of the fatty acid solution: Fe 3+ : ΣMPG = 2: 2: 1.
The concentration of nitric acid does not affect the degree of PGM release from nitric acid solutions.
К порции 1,0 моль/дм3 азотнокислого раствора, моделирующего высокоактивный рафинат экстракционного цикла технологии переработки отработавшего ядерного топлива, добавляют нитрат железа(III), затем при температуре 80°С в раствор вносят ЖКС до мольного отношения ЖКС:Fe3+:Σвсех металлов рафината = 2:2:1.Iron (III) nitrate is added to a portion of 1.0 mol / dm 3 of a nitric acid solution simulating a highly active raffinate of the extraction cycle of the spent nuclear fuel reprocessing technology, then at a temperature of 80 ° C, the LSC is added to the solution until the molar ratio of the LSC: Fe 3+ : Σ all raffinate metals = 2: 2: 1.
84%.The total extraction of PGMs in the composite is up to 84%.
The proposed method makes it possible to isolate PGMs from nitric acid solutions with a wide range of nitric acid concentrations and a high degree of extraction (more than 80%). In addition, molybdenum can be simultaneously extracted from nitric acid solutions, which will improve the quality of glasses intended for disposal of HLW.
