Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a technology for the preparation and production of briquettes, fluxes, pellets, as well as in the technology of pelletizing and granulation for the production of all types of metallurgical and coal briquettes of iron ore pellets, briquetting of high-aluminate slags, as well as slags of metallurgical industries, metal shavings, refractory and ceramic products from various mineral raw materials.
Briquetting is the process of processing raw materials (mainly mineral) into pieces of a uniform composition and geometrically regular shape, the so-called briquettes. During briquetting, fine and dusty wastes of various stages of production are involved in processing (dust, slags, metal shavings, etc.). Briquetting is the simplest and most cost-effective way of processing and recycling waste from coal, metallurgy, woodworking, and refractory industries, while additional raw materials are created, the use of which is inefficient or difficult.
При этом для брикетирования требуется высокая дозировка связующего (до 15%).Depending on the properties of the feedstock, briquetting is carried out without binders at high pressures (about 100-250 kgf / cm 2 ) and with binders at lower pressures. It is known [Mountain Encyclopedia / Edited by E.A. Kozlovsky. T.4. M .: Sov. Encyclopedia, 1989. - 595 pp., ill.] that binders such as lime, cement, water glass, etc. can be used as binders. However, the use of such binders does not provide the required high mechanical strength sufficient for the material it did not collapse during transportation and feeding, as well as the high temperature resistance of the briquette, at which it would begin to collapse only upon reaching the high temperature zone of the furnace. Moreover, briquetting requires a high dosage of binder (up to 15%).
These disadvantages are largely eliminated in the invention [RF Patent No. 2138566. A mixture for producing carbon-containing briquettes for the production of metals and alloys and the method for its production] when used as a binder for briquetting a water-soluble derivative of the natural lignin polymer - lignosulfonate (LST), which is the closest analogue of the present invention. However, when using LFB as a binder for the production of briquettes, it is not possible to provide high temperature resistance and mechanical strength at a low dosage of the additive.
An object of the invention is to obtain a binder for the production of metallurgical and coal briquettes with high temperature resistance and mechanical strength when used in small dosages.
При этом количество звеньев в полиалкиленоксидной цепи составляет n=5÷25.The stated technical problem is solved in the present invention in that the binder for the production of metallurgical and coal briquettes contains an organic polymer - a polymeric sodium and polyalkylene oxide derivative of polymethylene naphthalene sulfonic acids, as well as an addition of glycoside derivatives in the following ratio of these components (wt.%): Polymer sodium and polyalkylene oxide polymethylene naphthalenesulfonic acids - 30-80%; glycoside derivatives - 20-70%. The number of links in the polyalkylene oxide chain is n = 5 ÷ 25.
The polymer sodium and polyalkylene oxide derivative of polymethylenenaphthalene sulfonic acids is obtained by condensation of naphthalene sulfonic acids with formaldehyde, and fructosides, glucosides, galactosides, or a mixture of any of these compounds are used as additives for glycosides.
The use of the proposed binder for the production of metallurgical and coal briquettes allows you to change the rheological properties of structured coarse-grained systems, which include raw materials for briquetting, chemically interacts with them, serves as the center of crystallization.
The combined use of an organic polymer consisting of several types of elementary units: sulfo groups to ensure high adsorption activity and reduce dependence on free alkalis and side chains of a polyalkylene oxide or other type to provide a steric effect and / or impart additional properties that allow controlling properties at the atomic-molecular level solid surfaces, as well as derivatives of glucosides containing an aldehyde group and a carbonyl group, differing in the presence of m in their structures of free glycosidic hydroxyl allows, as a result of selective adsorption, to obtain organic-mineral complexes with the displacement of water molecules from the surface of the substance. Due to the steric effect, the proposed binder structures the framework, which has a stabilizing effect on the system as a whole.
Thus, the use of a binder for the production of metallurgical and coal briquettes makes it possible to provide a synergistic effect, as a result of which a significantly lower dosage of the additive is required to achieve high thermal resistance and mechanical strength. So, for the prototype, the dosage range is from 10% to 15% by technical weight of the mass of the charge, and for the proposed binder - 1-8% of the mass of the charge.
The ratio of the components in the proposed binder for briquetting is selected experimentally and is optimal.
A content of a binder organic polymer of less than 30% does not provide for the binding of material particles (stickiness), and more than 80% does not provide the required mechanical strength of the briquette. When the content of glycoside derivatives is less than 20%, the required briquetting density is not provided, and the content of more than 70% leads to a significant decrease in thermal stability.
The optimal number of elementary units (n) in the chain of the sodium and polyalkylene oxide derivative of polymethylene naphthalene sulfonic acids of the general formula C 10 H 6 SO 3 Na (-CH 2 -C 10 H 5 SO 3 Na) n is n = 5 ÷ 25. For n less than 5, the binder has weak surface-active properties, the product is distributed throughout the volume, and for n more than 25, the wettability of difficult-to-wet materials increases.
In more detail, the technical nature of the invention and the effects achieved can be illustrated by the following examples.
17-18%.Samples of the binder for the production of briquettes were developed, the data for which are given in table 1. As a prototype of the binder for briquetting, LST manufactured by Kondopoga OJSC was used. The existing charge was a heterogeneous mass with large inclusions with a moisture content of 17-18%.
The experiment on the introduction of binders was performed as follows:
2.in the sample charge for briquetting was added a control sample LST in the amount of 10%, the remaining samples were introduced in the amount of 6% by weight of the mixture. Reagents were introduced in two stages. First, 75% by weight of the binder was added, mixed. Then the mixture was dried to a moisture content of 3-4% at a temperature of 250 ° C and the remaining 25% was added. When entering the last portion of the reagent, there were difficulties with mixing, because it is rather difficult to introduce a reagent into a dry charge. Finished masses were formed into briquettes for passing further tests on compressive strength, thermal resistance. From these masses, samples were formed with a diameter and a height of 50 mm and a mass of 150 g at a pressing pressure of 200 kg / cm 2 .
1.The test results are presented in table 1.
Analysis of the results of the tests showed the following.
The use of a binder for the production of briquettes according to the invention in comparison with a binder-prototype when it is introduced in a lower dosage of 6% (examples 1, 2, 3) can significantly increase the strength of the briquette in compression and increase the mechanical strength of the briquette after exposure to temperature. So, the use of a binder according to the invention in a dosage of 6% compared with the use of the prototype in a dosage of 10% (examples 1 and 6) allows to increase the strength of the briquette in compression by almost 2 times. Moreover, the use of a binder according to the invention allows for a higher mechanical strength after exposure to temperatures. So, for the application of the binder according to the invention (example 1), the mechanical strength after a temperature of 120 ° C is 2.3 times higher than that of the prototype (example 6), and 3 times in the temperature range 300-600 ° C. It is important to note that this increase is not achieved due to the dosage of the binder, which remains constant (examples 1, 2, 3, 6), but rather due to the synergistic effect of its use.
Examples 4 and 5, presented in table 1, show the impossibility of obtaining an effective binder for the production of metallurgical and coal briquettes when going beyond the boundary values of the content of components. So, with the same dosage of 6%, the use of a binder containing less than 30% organic polymer and more than 70% glycoside derivatives (example 4) leads to a decrease in thermal stability compared to the application of the additive according to the invention (example 2). When the binder contains more than 80% of the organic polymer (example 5), a decrease in mechanical strength is observed compared with the use of the binder according to the invention (example 3). Thus, when going beyond the optimal ratios there is no synergistic effect, although the compressive strength and mechanical strength after temperature still remain higher than that of the prototype.
The effectiveness of the binder for briquetting was also evaluated on the basis of the mixture for briquetting, consisting of copper concentrates.
During testing, the charge of the material is a mixture of copper concentrates from various manufacturers and industrial dusts from various smelters. Since one of the main destructive factors in the process of briquetting in the mining industry is the destruction during the filling of the pelletized product (briquette) during its transportation, the tests were carried out according to the method of determining the strength during dropping, adopted at UMMC.
2.As a prototype binder for briquetting used 8-10 wt.% Solution of LST with a density of 1.25 g / cm 3 .. As a binder according to the invention is a superplasticizer and glycoside in the ratio (wt.% 60:40). The test results are presented in table.2.
From the presented results it is seen that the use of additives according to the invention significantly increases the strength of the briquette. At the same time, the dropping strength when using the binder according to the invention increases in comparison with the use of the prototype - ligaments on the charge for briquetting No. 1 more than 3 times, and when briquetting the mixture No. 2 more than 2 times with the same dosage of binder (8%), and at an optimal dosage for binders, it increases less significantly. The compressive strength increases by a factor of 2 when the dosage of the binder of the invention is 10% and 8% on the briquette charge No. 2 with respect to the strength of the binder prototype. The above examples do not exhaust all possible options for a binder for the production of metallurgical and coal briquettes, but help to more clearly demonstrate its properties.
