Abstract
Description
The invention relates to electronics and can be used in the development and operation of devices designed for the localization of electromagnetic radiation of devices, protection against an increased level of electromagnetic radiation of electronic equipment, information carriers and biological objects.
A device is known that is designed to reduce the radar visibility of an object (1), made in the form of a thin layer of non-woven felt, in which electrically conductive microdipoles of different lengths are woven. A disadvantage of the known device is the low degree of protection against electromagnetic radiation, due to the insufficient level of absorption of energy of the incident electromagnetic wave.
Closest to the invention is an electromagnetic wave absorber made in the form of a mesh support into which absorbing flexible cylindrical elements are woven, each of which consists of electrically conductive microdipoles located along its axis and radially diverging from it. On the support are holders transparent to electromagnetic radiation, which are fixed to the grid using cylindrical elements (2). The known device has a high degree of protection against electromagnetic radiation in a wide operating frequency range, however, structurally complicated by the holders. In addition, the level of protection depends on the location of the electromagnetic wave absorber in space. This is because the absorber has a pronounced anisotropic structure, i.e. has a different reflection coefficient when changing its orientation in the working plane relative to the intensity vector of the electric component of the incident electromagnetic wave.
The technical result that can be achieved using the present invention is to improve the overall dimensions by simplifying the design and increasing the reliability by ensuring the stability of the reflection coefficient when changing the orientation of the absorber of electromagnetic waves in the working plane.
The technical result is achieved due to the fact that in the absorber of electromagnetic waves containing a mesh base, into which are woven flexible cylindrical elements made of electrically conductive microdipoles located along its axis and radially diverging from it (2), in each of the cells of the mesh base linen is made interweaving of two pairs of identical flexible cylindrical elements. The length of the electrically conductive microdipole of the flexible cylindrical element can be from 0.3λ to 5λ, where λ is the average electromagnetic wavelength of the operating range. Electrically conductive microdipoles can be made of complex glass fiber with a carbon electrically conductive layer.
No information was found in the patent information sources about this embodiment of the means of protection against electromagnetic radiation, which allows us to conclude that the invention meets the eligibility criteria.
The device is made in the form of a plain weave of two pairs of flexible cylindrical elements placed on a mesh basis. Two identical flexible cylindrical elements are woven into each of the cells of the mesh base in each of two mutually perpendicular directions. Each cylindrical element consists of electrically conductive microdipoles mounted along its axis and radially diverging from it. The axes of the cylindrical elements are the lines of association of microdipoles with each other. Structurally, the cylindrical elements are formed by twisting around the own axis of the bundle of two or more dielectric filaments, between which microdipoles are laid.
Microdipoles, which are segments of resistive filaments, can be made of complex glass fibers with an electrically conductive carbon coating, such as soot. The manufacture of microdipoles and their coloring is carried out using standard technical equipment.
The mesh base can be made of viscose-mylar threads. To fix the structure, the coating is edged around the perimeter with an external edging made, for example, of spindle tape.
The interweaving step, the mesh size of the mesh base, the distance between the dipoles, their length and impedance depend on the operating frequency range and the degree of necessary attenuation of the energy of the reflected electromagnetic wave. The optimum length of the microdipole is (0.3 ÷ 5) λ, where λ is the average length of the operating range, and the distance between the dipoles is from 0.5 to 5 mm.
An object protected from electromagnetic interference is placed under a removable protective coating, which may take the form of rugs, curtains, screens, etc. Electromagnetic waves incident from free space fall on the absorbing elements of the coating, diffusely scattering. In addition to the processes of absorption of electromagnetic waves caused by dielectric losses in microdipoles, there are processes of multiple reflection and re-reflection of incident waves from microdipoles, accompanied by absorption of energy of electromagnetic waves. With an arbitrary direction of the incident waves, their back reflection is minimized. This is due to the fact that waves are gradually absorbed in a voluminous fleecy structure formed by randomly distributed microdipoles in space.
Linen weave of cylindrical elements having the appearance of "brushes" forms a stable volumetric structure. Due to the random arrangement of microdipoles throughout the volume of the radar absorbing material, its isotropy is ensured, i.e. independence of the reflection coefficient of electromagnetic waves from spatial orientation. Due to this, the radio technical characteristics are improved, i.e. the reflection coefficient decreases and the effective operating range of wavelengths expands, which results in an increase in the degree of protection. Providing a reliable and stable level of protection for any changes in the location of the absorber in space makes it universal in application.
The fleecy surface of the coating, which has a protective color, has a high degree of optical masking, because completely imitates natural conditions, making the protected object hardly noticeable in the optical range.
The transition to a new frequency range is achieved by changing the interweaving step, the mesh size of the mesh base, the distance between the dipoles and their length.
Simplicity of manufacture and universality of application with good overall dimensions and high protection efficiency make this absorber of electromagnetic waves the most preferable for solving problems of electromagnetic compatibility, protection of various types of objects from electromagnetic radiation, and anechoic chamber equipment.
