Abstract
Description
The invention relates to agriculture and can be used in the development of saline lands.
One of the new areas of saline land development is planting halophyte plants on them with their subsequent removal and using the desalinated soil obtained for sowing other agricultural crops.
A 01 B 79/00, опублик. 07.12.90). A known method of desalination of the soil, in which the removal of salts from the soil is carried out by halophyte plants sown on the irrigated area, followed by their mowing and removal outside the site (Aut. St. USSR N 1611242, class A 01 B 79/00, published. 12/07/90).
In this method, fruit trees are cultivated on sand dunes with drip irrigation with mineralized water. Sowing halophytes (hodgepodge) plants on these soils leads to a decrease in soil salts, thereby creating favorable conditions for the development of the root system of the fruit tree. By the end of the irrigation period, the plants are mowed and removed, followed by their use for livestock feed.
The limitation of this method is that saline can be not only soils such as sand dunes, with increased evaporation of water from their surface, as well as favorable conditions for growing hodgepodge. In addition, this method does not preclude re-salinization of the soil from the deep layers, which leads to low productivity of agricultural land. In addition, ordinary types of hodgepodge have low biomass and nutritional value, therefore feeding them livestock is possible only with the use of a large amount of traditional feed.
10.05.95). There is a method of developing saline medium-loamy lands, in which salts are also removed by sowing halophytes and their subsequent harvesting (RU, patent N 2034900, class C 09 K 17/00, published. 05/10/95).
In this method, at the beginning of land development, halophytes are sown in pure form, and in subsequent years they carry out mixed sowing of halophytes and fodder crops, changing their ratio for several years, and then completely halophytes are replaced by forage crops.
This method is applicable for the salinization of saline medium-loamy soils when they are irrigated with fresh water under conditions of ameliorative crop rotation, however, it is long-term (for complete desalinization with an average degree of salinization, it takes from 4 to 5 years or more), and in the first years of desalinization when sowing halophytes this method, as well as the previous one, is ineffective for obtaining agricultural feed.
[1]. The closest way to desalinizing the soil is a method involving the removal of salts from the soil by sowing on it annual halophyte plants with their subsequent harvesting [1].
The method involves the joint cultivation of halophyte herbaceous plants and woody plants under rainfed conditions, dividing the saline area into alternating areas where grassy and woody-shrubby halophyte plants are grown, and less salt-resistant plants are planted on more saline halophyte plants annually.
As annual halophyte plants, this method proposes the use of: entangled arches, spreading petrosimony, fleshy solyanka, Tatar quinoa, pink quinoa, long-leaved quinoa, reed, tangled width, bivalve oriental, eastern sorrel, sorrel, bird buckwheat, tart Fomin’s bowler rings, wheat mortuk, medicinal marshmallow, mouse barley, soloka, fingernail, blue alfalfa, sowing alfalfa, solonchak wheat grass, creeping wheatgrass, balls, lettuce, Polish sweet clover, honey tsa cattle, alfalfa small steppe timothy, timothy grass, cocksfoot, clover field, red clover, sweet clover drug.
This method compared with the previous ones allows to increase the efficiency of desalinization and to exclude re-salinization of the soil, as well as to increase the productivity of agricultural land.
However, this method is quite long (desalination is carried out in four stages over 8 years), it requires a large assortment of various crops, including perennial ones, their irrigation, and in the first years of its use it does not allow to obtain a sufficient amount of feed with a large nutrient biomass.
The problem solved by the invention is to increase the efficiency of soil desalinization when using sowing during the year only one crop with one growing season.
The technical result that can be obtained by carrying out the invention is to reduce the time of desalinization of the soil, obtaining nutritious highly productive feed for livestock.
To solve the problem with the achievement of the specified technical result in the known method of desalinization of the soil, including the removal of salts from the soil by sowing on it annual halophyte plants with their subsequent harvesting, according to the invention, amaranth is used as an annual halophyte plant.
These advantages, as well as the features of the invention will become clear when considering the best option for its implementation with reference to an example of sowing amaranth in Kalmykia.
1-1,5%. Amaranth - sem. Amaranthocca, a species of Amaranthus paniculatus (crimson amaranth), was introduced into agricultural circulation relatively recently as a fodder crop growing in natural conditions on chestnut and light chestnut soils, loamy in granulometric composition, with a humus content of 1-1.5%.
Its sowing for feed purposes and seed fund provision can be carried out using serial machines.
A study of amaranth crops shows that, along with the high feed advantages of amaranth (high protein, various amino acids, a significant amount of biomass produced), such crops cause significant desalinization of the soil. So, in experimental crops after harvesting amaranth, it turned out that the alkalinity of the soil is reduced by 8.4-8.0 to values no more than 7.0. Soil neutralization occurs.
Soil salinity, along with other factors, is determined by its high peptization. At very high peptization, the soil becomes hard and crack. In addition to desalination of the soil, experience has shown that amaranth, releasing hydrogen ions, causes coagulation of soil particles, improving the colloidal state of the soil. As studies have shown, amaranth has the ability to significantly absorb ammonium ions than nitrate ions.
The mechanism of soil desalinization is exchange (absorption), while amaranth releases H or OH ions, and absorbs sodium ions.
The research sowing of amaranth for fodder was carried out in Kalmykia near the city of Elista on an experimental plot. When sowing, plowing, mulching, rolling of seeds is carried out, since for small seeds it is necessary to ensure good contact with the soil layer and the absence of blowing. Therefore, for planting, it is advisable to use a well-prepared, upper, light layer of soil.
The advantage of amaranth is also the possibility of growing it without irrigation, since usually normal weather conditions are enough to obtain high yields, and studies show that it shows high resistance to high salt concentrations.
Thus, in one year a highly productive feed mass can be obtained on saline soil sections and land desalination is carried out. Further crop rotation can be done using existing technologies, for example, with alternating plantings of various crops, including the subsequent sowing of amaranth to continue further desalination of the soil.
The most successfully claimed method of soil desalinization can be carried out in warm and temperate zones, in areas with climatic conditions close to those in the Republic of Kalmykia.
