Abstract

Izneto je poboljšanje postupka za karboniliziranje metanola kod proizvodnje sirćetne kiseline. Naročito je izložen postupak smanje stvaranja alkil jodida i C3-8 karboksilnih kiseli na uklanjanjem jedinjenja koja redukuju permanganat (JRP) iz lake faze kondenzovane struje lakih frakcija gornje frakcije, uključujući (a) destilovanje lake faze radi dobijanja struje gornje frakcije obogaćene JRP-om; i (b) ekstrahovanjem treće struje gornje frakcije sa vodom u najmanje dve faze jedna za drugom i odvajanje jedne ili više vodenih struja koje sadrže JRP iz njih.
