Abstract
The method for preparing a permanent way comprises producing a running section consisting of two rails (4, 5) with sleepers (1) between them. Rods (18) are then inserted into the concrete bearing layer (10) beneath. The height and width of the running section is then adjusted and the sleepers supported. The running section is then fixed to the rods to prevent lateral shifting. The upper bearing layer (9) is then poured and a revetment (20) added. An independent claim is included for a system for adjusting the running section of a permanent way.
