N.O. 28.749 "1“ -«s·* 2-Hydroxybenzamidederivaten en de toepassing daarvan als fungicide.
De uitvinding heeft betrekking op 2-hydroxybenzamide-derivaten met de formule 1 waarin E^ een waterstofatoom, een acetylgroep of een alkoxycarbonylgroep met 1-3 koolstofatomen in de alkoxyrest, E^ een 1-12 koolstofatomen bevattende alkylgroep, een alkoxycarbonyl-5 methylgroep met 1-12 koolstofatomen in de alkoxyrest, een benzyl-, k-pyridyl-, cyclohexyl-, fenylgroep of een fenylgroep die is gesubstitueerd door één of twee van de volgende groepen: een 1-3 koolstof-atomen bevattende alkylgroep, een halogeenatoom, een nitrogroep, en n 0 of 1 voorstellen, met dien verstande dat indien n 1 betekent E^ 10 uitsluitend een acetylgroep voorstelt, op eex fungicide preparaat voor de landbouw en de tuinbouw dat één of meer van de vermelde 2-hydroxybenzamide-derivaten als werkzame verbindingen bevat, alsmedejop een werkwijze ter voorkoming van fungi.
Als fungiciden, gebruikt voor de bescherming van planten in de 15 landbouw en de tuinbouw tegen ziekten^werden tot dusverre organische kwikverbindingen, organische chloorverbindingen, organische fosfor-verbindingen en gasvormige verbindingen gebruikt. De organische kwikverbindingen hebben echter een bijzonder grote toxiciteit voor mens en dier. De organische chloorverbindingen hebben een aanzienlijke 20 fytotoxiciteit voor planten. Daar zij in grote hoeveelheden en in een grote concentratie dienen te worden gebruikt voor het bereiken van een voldoende preventief effect hebben zij de eigenschap in het plantlichaam of in de grond te resteren. De gasvormige fungiciden hebben het nadeel dat zij een irriterende of onaangename geur hebben.
25 Aan de uitvinding lag het probleem ten grondslag fungiciden voor de landbouw en de tuinbouw te verschaffen die de vermelde nadelen niet hebben.
Gevonden werd dat verbindingen met de formule 1 bijzonder effectief zijn ter voorkoming van ziekten bij planten in de landbouw en 30 de tuinbouw, dat de verbindingen in het bijzonder een aanzienlijk effect hebben tegen knolvoet bij cruciferen en brandziekte bij rijst in slechts een lage concentratie'.·
Van de benzamideverbindingen die soortgelijk zijn aan die van de uitvinding zijn vermeld in Ann. Appl.Biol.(1973)> deel 75» 49-55#; 55 N-(1-methylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-benzamide, N-(1-methylthio- 2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-chloorbenzamide en N-(l-methylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-methylbenzamide; geen van de vermelde verbindingen heeft echter een fungicide werking.
v -2- ' De verbindingen volgens de uitvinding zijn nieuwe verbindingen met een sterke fungicide werking.
De verbindingen volgens de uitvinding hebben slechts een zeer kleine toxiciteit voor mens en dier, veroorzaken geen beschadiging 5 bij planten, zijn vrij van een irriterende en onaangename geur en hebben het vermogen in een lage concentratie ziekten bij planten te voorkomen. Op grond daarvan kunnen de verbindingen, volgens de uitvinding als ideale fungiciden in de landbouw en de tuinbouw in slechts kleine hoeveelheden worden gebruikt zonder gevaar van bodem-10 contaminatie.
Als voorbeelden van alkoxycarbonylgroepen met 1-3 koolstofatomen in de alkoxyrest van de verbindingen met de formule 1 kunnen worden genoemd: de methoxycarbonyl-, ethoxycarbonyl- en propoxycarbonyl-groep.
15 Als 1-12 koolstofatomen bevattende alkylgroepen kunnen worden genoemd: de methyl-, ethyl-, propyl-, butyl-, octyl-, nonyl-, decyl-en dodecylgroep.
Voorts kunnen als voorbeelden van alkoxycarbonylmethylgroepen met 1 -12 koolstofatomen in de alkoxyrest worden genoemd: de methoxy-20 carbonylmethyl-, ethoxycarbonylmethyl-, propoxycarbonylmethyl-, ethoxycarbonylmethyl-, octyloxycarbonylmethyl-, decyloxycarbonyl- v methyl- en dodecyloxycarbonylmethylgroep. Als halogeenatoom kunnen chloor- en broomatomen worden genoemd.
De verbindingen volgens de uitvinding met de formule 1 die de 25 voorkeur verdienen zijn de verbindingen waarin een waterstofatoom of een acetylgroep, een 1-4 koolstof atomen bevattende alkylgroep en n 0 voorstellen.
De verbindingen volgens de uitvinding worden als volgt bereid:
Een verbinding met de formule 2, waarin R1 de vermelde betekenissen 30 heeft wordt omgezet met een halogeneringsmiddel zoals thionylchlo-ride in een verbinding met de formule 3> waarin R^ de vermelde betekenissen heeft en X een halogeenatoom voorstelt. De omzetting wordt gewoonlijk in een oplosmiddel zoals methylchloroform, dichloorme- ' thaan of tetrachloorkoolstof bij 'aanwezigheid van een halogenerings-35 katalysator zoals dimethylformamide uitgevoerd. Vervolgens wordt de r verbinding met de formule 3 "bij voorkeur in een indifferent oplosmiddel zoals dichloormethaan of aceton bij aanwezigheid van een base met een verbinding met de formule RgSH omgezet en een verbinding met de formule 1 waarin n 0 betekent, dat wil zeggen een verbinding 40 met formule 4> waarin R^ de vermelde betekenissen heeft^kan worden 800 1 1 84 * 4 -3- verkregen.
Als voorbeelden van verbindingen met de formule EgSH kunnen worden genoemd: alkylmercaptanen zoals methylmercaptan, ethylmercaptan, propylmercaptan, butylmercaptan, octylmercaptan, nonylmercaptan, 5 decylmercaptan en dodecylmercaptan, alkoxycarbonylmethylmercaptanen zoals methylcarbonylmethyl mercaptan, ethylcarbonylmethylmercaptan, propylcarbonylmethylmercaptan, octylcarbonylmethylmercaptan en dode-cylcarbonylmethylmercaptan, benzylmercaptan, 2-pyridylmercaptan, cyclohexylmercaptan, fenylmercaptan en fenylmercaptanen die door 10 één of twee van de volgende groepen is gesubstitueerd: methyl-, pro-pyl-, butyl- en nitrogroep en een chloor atoom.
Als base komen alkalimetaalhydroxiden (bijvoorbeeld natriumhydroxide en kaliumwaterstofchloride ) of tertiaire aminen (bijvoorbeeld triethylamine en pyridine) in aanmerking.
15 Indien een verbinding met de formule 4 waarin E^ een acetylgroep voorstelt bij aanwezigheid van een zuur als katalysator ( bijvoorbeeld chloorwaterstof zuur, zwavelzuur en wat er stofchloride) gewoonlijk in een oplosmiddel, zoals ethanol., wordt gehydrolyseerd, kan een verbinding met de formule 1 worden verkregen waarin een water stof-20 atoom en n 0 voorstellen, dat wil zeggen een verbinding met de formule 5*
Indien'voorts een verbinding met de formule 4 waarin R^ een acetylgroep voorstelt in een oplosmiddel zoals azijnzuur gewoonlijk met een oxydatiemiddel wordt geoxydeerd^kan in het algemeen een verbinding 25 met de formule 1 worden verkregen waarin R^ een acetylgroep en n 1 voorstellen, dat wil zeggen een verbinding met de formule 6.
Indien daarnaast een verbinding met de formule 5 gewoonlijk in oplosmiddel zoals aceton bij aanwezigheid van een base zoals in het bovengenoemde is vermeld wordt omgezet met een verbinding met de 30 formule 7 waarin R^ een alkylgroep met een klein aantal koolstof-atomen voorstelt, zoals methylchloorcarbonaat of ethylchloorcarbo-naat^kan een verbinding met de formule 1 worden verkregen waarin R^ een alkoxycarbonylgroep en n 0 voorstellen, dat wil zeggen een verbinding met de formule 8 waarin R^ en R^ de vermelde betekenissen 35 hebben.
De als uitgangsprodukt gebruikte verbinding met de formule 2 kan worden verkregen door omzetting van o-acetylsalicylamide met chloral gewoonlijk in een oplosmiddel zoals methylchloroform.
Typische voorbeelden van verbindingen volgens de uitvinding be-40 reid volgens de vermelde werkwijzen zijn in tabel A vermeld.

De volgende voorbeelden dienen ter illustratie van werkwijzen voor de bereiding van de verbindingen volgens de uitvinding.
Yoorbeeld I.
N-(1-ethylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide (verbin-5 ding no. 1): 50 ml dichloormethaan werden aan 7,9 δ N-(l.2.2.2-tetrachloor-ethyl)-2-acetoxybenzajin.de toegevoegd. 1,3 δ ethylmercaptan werd onder roeren aan de oplossing toegevoegd en daarna werden daaraan bij 10-15°C druppelsgewijs 2,0 g triethylamine toegevoegd. Nadat de omzet-10 ting bij kamertemperatuur één uur was uitgevoerd werd water aan het reactiemengsel toegevoegd, waarna men de oplossing liet staan.
Vervolgens werd de di'chloormethaanfase afgescheiden, met watervrij natriumsulfaat gedroogd en geconcentreerd. Men verkreeg 7>0 g N-(1-ethylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide in de vorm 15 van witte kristallen. H-meltpunt 100-102°C.
Yoorbeeld II.
N-(1-n-o c tyloxyc arbo nylme th ylth i o-2.2.2-tr i chlo or e thyl)-2-hy-droxybenzamide (verbinding no. 14) 5 g thionylchloride werden onder roeren druppelsgewijs aan een 20 mengsel van 10 g N-(1-hydroxy 2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenz-amide, 50 ml tetrachloorkoolstof en 0,1 g N.N-dimethylformamide toegevoegd. Nadat de omzetting onder terugvloeikoeling één uur was uitgevoerd werd het oplosmiddel onder verminderde druk afgedestilleerd.
Men verkreeg N-(1.2.2.2-tetrachloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide (smelt-25 punt 113-113,5°0). Zonder isoleren van de verkregen verbinding werden daaraan 50 ml aceton en ook 7,2 g octylthioglycolaat (n) toegevoegd en het mengsel werd één uur bij kamertemperatuur geroerd. Het oplosmiddel werd afgedestilleerd en de verkregen rest werd door ko-lomchromatografie aan silicagel gezuiverd. Men verkrogg 3,0 g N-(1- 30 n-octyloxycarbonylmethylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide 25 in de vorm van een lichtgeel olieachtig produkt. n^ 1,5031·
Yoorbeeld III.
N-(1-isopropylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide (verbinding no. 18).
35 3,2 g N-(1-isopropylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide werden gemengd met 30 ml ethanol en 0,5 ml 35-gev.$xocent3 chloorwa-terstofzuur en de omzetting werd onder roeren onder terugvloeikoe-1 ing 2 uren uitgevoerd. Het oplosmiddel werd afgedestilleerd en de rest werd met water gewassen en gedroogd. Men verkreeg 2,7 δ N-(1-40 isopropylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide in de vorm 80 0 1 1 84 -8- van witte kristallen. Smeltpunt 131—133°G*
Voorbeeld IV.
N-( 1 -fenylthio-2.2.2-tr ichloorethyl )-2-hydroxybenzamide (verbinding no. 25)· 5 10,3 g 20-gew.procents natronloog werden onder roeren bij 10-15° C druppelsgewijs aan een mengsel van 16,6 g N-(1.2.2.2-tetrachloor-ethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide, 70 ml aceton en 5,3 g fenylmercaptan toegevoegd. De omzetting werd bij kamertemperatuur één uur uitgevoerd.
Aan het reactiemengsel werd water toegevoegd, de dichloormethaan-10 fase werd afgescheiden en de oplossing werd gedroogd en geconcentreerd. Aan de verkregen rest werden 100 ml ethanol en 1,5 ml 35-gew.procents chloorwaterstofzuur toegevoegd en de reactie werd twee uren onder .terugvloeikoeling uitgevoerd. Het oplosmiddel werd afgedestilleerd. Men verkreeg 14,5 8 N-(l-fenylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-15 2-hydroxybenzamide in de vorm van witte kristallen. Smeltpunt 103-106°C.
Voorbeeld V.
N-(1-isopropylsulfinyl-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide (verbinding no. 32).
20 Aan 15,0 g N-(l-isopropylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxy-benzamide werden onder roeren druppelsgewijs 80 ml azijnzuur en 3,8 g van een 35-gew.procents waterstofperoxideoplossing toegevoegd. Vervolgens werd de omzetting 3 uren bij 40-50°C uitgevoerd. Het reactiemengsel werd in water gegoten. Aan het mengsel werden 100 ml ethyl -25 acetaat toegevoegd en de oplossing werd gescheiden, gedroogd, geconcentreerd, gewassen en opnieuw gedroogd. Men verkreeg 12,3 8 N-(1-isopropylsulfinyl-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide. Smeltpunt 90-92°C.
Voorbeeld VI.
30 N-(l-n -butylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-ethoxycarbonyloxybenzamide (verbinding no. 34)· 13 g ethylchloorcarbonaat werden onder roeren aan een mengsel van 3,4 g N-(l-n-butylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide en 50 ml aceton toegevoegd en daaraan werd bij 0-5°C druppelsgewijs 35 1,0 g diethylamine toegevoegd. Nadat de omzetting één uur bij kamertemperatuur .was uitgevoerd werd het oplosmiddel onder verminderde druk afgedestilleerd, 50 ml water werden aan de verkregen rest toegevoegd en de oplossing werd met ethylacetaat geëxtraheerd. Na wassen van het extract met water en drogen werd het oplosmiddel afgedestilleerd.
40 Men verkreeg 3,2 g N-(l-n-butylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-ethoxy-earbonyloxybenzamide in de vorm van een bruin olieachtig produkt.

Voorbeeld VII.
Ν-(1-i so propylthi o-2.2.2-trich 1oore thyl)-2-hydroxybenzamid e (verbinding no. 18).
14,2 g N~(l-hydroxy-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide 5 werden met 100 ml dichloormethaan, 7,2 g thionylchloride en 0,1 g N.N-dimethylformamide gemengd en de omzetting werd onder roeren onder terugvloeikoeling 3 uren uitgevoerd. Het oplosmiddel werd afgedestilleerd. Men verkreeg N-(1.2.2.2-tetrachloorethyl)-2-hydroxy-benzamide (smeltpunt 113-113,5°c)· Zonder het verkregen produkt te 10 isoleren werden daaraan 100 ml dichloormethaan en 3,8 g isopropyl-mercaptan toegevoegd en daarna werden druppelsgewijs 4,0 g pyridine toegevoegd. Nadat de omzetting één uur bij kamertemperatuur was uit-gevoerd werd water aan het reactiemengsel toegevoegd, de dichloor-methaanfase werd afgescheiden, gedroogd en geconcentreerd. Men ver-15 kreeg 13,2 g N-(l-isopropylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenz-amide in de vorm van witte kristallen. Smeltpunt 131-133°C·
Vergelijkend voorbeeld 1.
Bereiding van N-(1.2.2.2-tetrachloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenaamide.
17,9 g o-acetylsalicylamide werden in 70 ml methylchloroform 20 gesuspendeerd, aan de suspensie werden 17,6 g chloral toegevoegd en de omzetting werd onder roeren bij 70-75°C 3-4 uren uitgevoerd.
Er werden 28,2 g N~(1-hydroxy-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide in de vorm van witte kristallen verkregen. Smeltpunt 124-126°C.
De verkregen verbinding, 100 ml methylchloroform en 0,3 ml N.N-25 dimethylformamide werden gemengd en aan het mengsel werden onder roeren druppelsgewijs 13,4 S thionylchloride toegevoegd. Het mengsel werd 3 uren op 6d'70°C verwarmd, waarna het oplosmiddel onder verminderde druk werd afgedestilterd. Men verkreeg 30,0 g ÏT-(1.2.2.2-tetrachloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide in de vorm van lichtgele kris-30 tallen. Smeltpunt 88-90°C.
Vergelijkend voorbeeld 2.
Bereiding van N-(1.2.2.2-tetrachloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide.
Aan 14,2 g N-( 1 -hydroxy->2.2-.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide werden 10 ml dichloormethaan, 0,1 g N.N-dimettiylformamide en 7,2 g 35 thionylchloride toegevoegd, waarna de omzetting order roeren onder terugvloeikoeling 3 uren werd uitgevoerd. De overmaat thionylchloride werd onder verminderde druk samen met het oplosmiddel afgedestilleerd. Men verkreeg 15,1 g N-(1.2.2.2-tetrachloorethyl)-2-hydroxy-benzamide. Smeltpunt 113-113,5°C.

De verbindingen volgens de uitvinding worden als fungiciden voor de landbouw en de tuinbouw in sommige gevallen afzonderlijk, gewoonlijk echter in de vorm van verscheidene soorten preparaten met dragers en andere toevoegsels gebruikt, zoals emulsies, bevoch-5 tigbare poeders, andere soorten poeders, granulaten en microgranu-laten, afhankelijk van het doel van de toepassing. In het geval van preparaten is met betrekking tot de verbindingen met de formule 1 in het algemeen een gehalte voldoende dat gelijk is aan dat van gebruikelijke preparaten, namelijk een gehalte van 0,5 tot 95 gew.%, 10 bij voorkeur 2-70 gew.%. Met betrekking tot de toevoegsels is een gehalte van 99»5 tot 5 gew.9^, bij voorkeur 98 - 50 gew.% geschikt.
Als dragers kunnen zowel vaste als vloeibare dragers worden gebruikt. Yaste dragers zijn bijvoorbeeld kleiaarde, kaolien, talk, diatomeeënaarde, siliciumdioxide en calciumcarbonaat en vloei-15 bare dragers zijn alcoholen, aceton, xyleen, tolueen, methylnaftaleen, cyclohexaan, dimethylformamide, dimethylsulfoxide, dierlijke of plantaardige oliëp.vetzuren, vetzuuresters en vele soorten opper-vlakte-actieve middelen.
Naast dragers kunnen andere toevoegsels die gewoonlijk voor 20 chemicaliën voor de landbouw worden gebruikt zoals drijfmiddelen, emulgeermiddelen, bevochtigingsmiddelen, dispergeermiddelen en fixeringsmiddelen worden toegevoegd en intensief gemengd voor het bereiken van de gewenste effecten.
De verbindingen volgens de uitvinding kunnen in de vorm van 25 mengsels met andere herbiciden, insecticiden, acariciden, fungiciden voor de landbouw en de tuinbouw, bodemfungiciden, bodemstabilisatoren of meststoffen worden gebruikt.
Andere preparaatvoorbeelden volgens de uitvinding zijn onderstaand vermeld. De in de voorbeelden vermelde toevoegsels en 30 mengverhoudingen dienen binnen het raam van de uitvinding niet als beperking te worden beschouwd.
Preuaraat-voorbeeld 1 Poedervormig preparaat: 10 gew.dln van de verbinding no. 1 volgens de uitvinding 35 [N-(l-ethylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-acetoxybenzamide], 41 gew.dln talk en 49 gew.dln kleiaarde werden gemengd en verpoederd ter verkrijging van een poedervormig preparaat.
Preuaraat-voorbeeld 2 Bevochtigbare poeders: 40 80 gew.dln van de verbinding no. 18 volgens de uitvinding 800 1 1 84 -11- [U-( 1 -isopropylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl )-2-hydroxybenzamide ], 15 gew.dln kaolien, 5 gew.dln natrium-aleoholsulfaat van een hogere alcohol en 2 gew.dln natriumpolyaerylaat werden gemengd en verpoederd ter verkrijging van een bevochtigbaar poeder.
5 Prenaraat-voorbeeld 5 Granulaat: 5 gew.dln van de verbinding no. 25 volgens de uitvinding [N-(1-fenylthio-2.2.2-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide], 55 gew. dln diatomeeënaarde, 25 gew.dln bentoniet, 57 gew.dln talk en 10 2 gew.dln van een breekmiddel werden gemengd en aan het mengsel werden 18 gew.dln water toegevoegd voor de homogene bevochtiging van het mengsel. Vervolgens werd het mengsel door een extrusie-inrichting geëxtrudeerd ter verkrijging van een granulaat dat vervolgens werd gedroogd, in een maalinrichting werd gemalen en op-15 nieuw werd gegranuleerd door middel van een granulator ter verkrijging van een granulaat met een deeltjesgrootte van 0,6 tot 1 mm. Prenaraat-voorbeeld 4 Microgranulaat: 5 gew.dln van de verbinding no. 15 volgens de uitvinding 20 [ïi-( 1 -methylthio-2.2.22-trichloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide ] werden met 6 gew.dln bentoniet en 9 gew.dln kleiaarde homogeen gemengd ter verkrijging van een geconcentreerd poedervormig mengsel.
80 gew.dln van een niet-absorberend grof mineraal poeder met een korrelgrootte van 105 - 74 ƒ urn werden apart in een gebruikelijke 25 menginrichting gebracht, waarna’daaraan onder roteren 20 gew.dln water werden toegevoegd ter bevochtiging van het poeder en vervolgens werd het bovengenoemde geconcentreerde poedervormige mengsel daaraan toegevoegd voor het bekleden daarvan. Het verkregen produkt werd gedroogd waarna een microgranulaat werd verkregen.
50 Prenaraat-voorbeeld 5 Emulsie: 20 gew.dln van de verbinding no. 17 volgens de uitvinding [U-1-n-propylthio-2.2.2-triehloorethyl)-2-hydroxybenzamide ] werden in 65 gew.dln xyleen opgelost, waarna aan de oplossing 17 gew.dln 35 van een mengsel van een alkylfenol/epoxyethaan-condensaat en calciumalkylbenzeensulfonaat (8:2) werd toegevoegd en opgelost ter verkrijging van een emulsie. De emulsie kon na een verdunning met water worden gebruikt.
De doelmatige resultaten van de uitvinding worden door de 40 volgende experimentele resultaten geïllustreerd.

Proef-voorbeeld 1
Proef met betrekking tot de preventie van knolvoet bij Chinese kool.
Ben pot met een diameter van 15 cm werd met grond gevuld die door Piasmodionhora brassioae was geïnfecteerd en met een 10-gewichts-procents poedervormig preparaat van de verbinding volgens de uitvinding bereid volgens het preparaat-voorbeeld 1 in een hoeveelheid van 2 g per pot gemengd. Daarna werden in iedere pot 15 zaden Chinese kool (variëteit Taibyoo 60-nichi) gezaaid.
De pot werd naar een veld overgebracht.
Een poedervormig preparaat dat 20 gew.% PCNB (actieve component: pentachloornitrobenzeen) bevatte werd als controle gebruikt en daarmede werden proeven volgens de bovengenoemde werkwijze uitgevoerd.
4 Weken na het zaaien werden de zaailingen uit de potten genomen en de graad van de aantasting door de fungus werd onderzocht.
Het percentage van de gezonde zaailingen werd als volgt berekend:

Proef-voorbeeld. 2
Proef met "betrekking tot het voorkomen van rijstbrand:
Ongeveer 50 rijstkorrels (variëteit Saitama mochi no. 10) werden in iedere pot (15 cmx 5 cm x 10 cm) gezaaid. Na 20 dagen werden de 5 zaailingen (stadium van 2-3 bladeren) met een voorgeschreven hoeveelheid van een 10-gew.procents granulaat van de verbinding volgens de uitvinding bereid volgens de werkwijze van het preparaat-voorbeeld 3 behandeld. Vervolgens werden de zaailingen door sproeien met een oplossing waarin sporen van Pyrouralia oryzae waren gesuspendeerd 10 geïnfecteerd.
Vervolgens werden de zaailingen in een broeikas gebracht.
Een granulaat dat 17 gew.% 13 (werkzame component: 0.0-diiso-propyl-S-benzylfosforthioaat) bevatte werd als controle gebruikt en werd volgens dezelfde werkwijze toegepast.
15 20 Dagen na de inoculatie werd de aantasting door de fungus vastgesteld. De controlewaarde (preventie) werd als volgt herrekend:

Proef-voorbeeld 5
Proef met betrekking tot het voorkomen van verrotten en afvallen van komkommers:
Een pot met een diameter van 12 om werd met veldaarde gevuld die was geïnfecteerd door toevoeging van 5 S per pot van aarde die pathogeen was geïnfecteerd door gecultiveerd Ehizoctonia solani. Vervolgens werden 10 zaden komkommer (variëteit Ohyashima) in iedere pot gezaaid. 80-Gew.procents bevochtigbare poeders van de verbinding volgens de uitvinding, bereid volgens de werkwijze van preparaat-voorbeeld 2^werden met water verdund en telkens 50 ml van de verkregen vloeistof werden in de potten gebracht.
Bevochtigbare poeders die 50 gew.jé PCHB (actieve component pentachloornitrobenzeen) bevatten werden als controle gebruikt en volgens dezelfde werkwijze beproefd.
10 Dagen na het zaaien werd de graad van de aantasting door de fungus vastgesteld.
Het percentage van gezonde zaailingen werd als volgt berekend:

1. Verbindingen met de formule 1 waarin R^ een waterstofatoom, een acetylgroep of een alkoxycarbonylgroep met 1-3 koolstofatomen in de alkoxyrest, Rg een 1-12 koolstofatomen bevattende alkylgroep, 5 een alkoxycarbonylmethylgroep met 1-12 koolstofatomen in de alkoxyrest, een benzylgroep, een 2-pyridylgroep, een cyclohexylgroep, een fenylgroep of een fenylgroep die door één of twee van de volgende groepen is gesubstitueerd; een 1-3 koolstofatomen bevattende alkylgroep, een halogeenatoom, een nitrogroep, en n 0 of 1 voorstel- 10 len, met xlien verstande dat R^ uitsluitend een acetylgroep voorstelt indien n 1 is.
