Abstract
There is disclosed a range hood (1) provided above or near a cooker (CD), comprising: a fan (4) configured to generate an air flow; a filter (10) disposed on a flow channel of the air flow and on an upstream side of the fan (4), and having holes (11) for allowing the air flow to pass therethrough; an electric motor (20) configured to rotate the filter (10); and a control part (30) configured to perform control to cause the electric motor (20) to rotate at at least two rotation speeds, which are a first rotation speed and a second rotation speed that is faster than the first rotation speed on the basis of information from a cooking state monitor part (40) that monitors a cooking state in the cooker (CD), wherein the control part (30) controls the rotation speed of the electric motor (20) at the first rotation speed and the second rotation speed on the basis of the information from the cooking state monitor part (40) only, or the control part (30) controls the rotation speed of the electric motor (20) at the first rotation speed and the second rotation speed on the basis of the information from the cooking state monitor part (40), and an air volume of the air flow generated by the fan (4) includes at least two air volumes which are a first air volume and a second air volume that is larger than the first air volume, and the control part (30) controls the rotation speed of the electric motor (20) such that a second rotation speed used when the fan (4) generates the air flow of the second air volume is faster than a second rotation speed used when the fan (4) generates the air flow of the first air volume, and a first rotation speed used when the fan (4) generates the air flow of the second air volume is faster than a first rotation speed used when the fan (4) generates the air flow of the first air volume.
