Abstract

Se proporciona un modulo para la union al techo de un autobus e incluye todos los componentes necesarios para acondicionar el aire de retorno desde el compartimiento del pasajero y distribuir el aire acondicionado al mismo. Una pluralidad de modulos puede montarse en varias relaciones para proporcionar colectivamente la capacidad total requerida por el autobus. Las secciones del evaporador tienen un compartimiento de aire de retorno que se extiende a una distancia sustancial a traves del techo del autobus de manera que un diseno sencillo puede satisfacer las necesidades de varias instalaciones de conducto de aire de retorno de varios tipos de autobuses. La provision se hace para el mezclado selectivo de aire de retorno con aire fresco, con la mezcla entonces siendo pasada por el ventilador del evaporador a traves de los serpentines del evaporador y dentro de los conductos de aire de suministro. Los bastidores de los modulos se unen al techo del autobus mediante rieles que se separan apropiadamente para acomodar los bastidores de modulos y para permitir su colocacion longitudinal selectiva.
