Abstract
Materiales organicos descompuestos anaerobicamente tal como material de relleno sanitario o lodo de alcantarillado son tratados mediante el paso de una corriente electrica a traves de los mismos a fin de mejorar la produccion de hidrogeno, suprimir la formacion de metano y disminuir el tiempo requerido para procesar dichos materiales. Se describen tambien un proceso y aparato para la separacion de dioxido de carbono a partir de otro material gaseoso producido mediante la descomposicion del material organico.
