Abstract

The invention concerns a method characterised in that it consists in subjecting said organic material to chemical oxidation produced simultaneously with the biological treatment. The invention also concerns an installation comprising a biological tank (2) receiving water to be treated and wherein the desired biomass concentration is maintained and a membrane bioreactor (6). The invention is characterised in that it further comprises an ozonizer (9), an ejector (5) for introducing ozonized gas produced by the ozonizer into the mixed liquor of activated sludge which is then input into the bioreactor and a closed loop (11) recycling the concentrate derived from the bioreactor.
