Abstract
Se describe un método y un aparato para inspección de lente oftálmica, que comprende una cámara para capturar una imagen de una lente oftálmica que ha sido iluminada mediante una fuente luminosa. La ubicación y la intensidad de cada pixel de cámara, se convierte a una cantidad eléctrica que luego se transfiere y se almacena en una memoria. Una computadora, que contiene instrucciones para comparar los valores de intensidad y de ubicación de los pixeles, inicia cerca del centro del campo receptor y continúa hacia el borde del campo, hasta que se encuentre una desviación en la intensidad. Al evaluar los pixeles que contienen variación de intensidad, se logra un trazo del borde de la lente. Se genera un anillo que encierra el borde de lente real. Todos los pixeles son cambiados de un valor de intensidad absoluta a un valor gradiente, representado por los dos bordes de transición. Se efectúa la extracción de aspecto para ubicar los pixeles defectuosos y colocarlos en grupos. Una vez que se han determinado los grupos, cada uno de ellos recibe una anotación, que se base en el número, el tipo y la severidad de los pixeles defectuosos colocados dentro de ese grupo. De ello se puede dar a toda la lente una anotación equilibrada, y la lente es aprobada o reprobada.
