Abstract
La presente invención se refiere un método de tamizaje para el inicio o predisposición al inicio de o el monitoreo de neoplasia del intestino grueso en un individuo, dicho método está caracterizado porque comprende evaluar el estado de metilación de: (i) la región de ADN, incluyendo 2kb hacia el extremo 5´del sitio de inicio de la transcripción de las coordinadas de HG-19: (1) chr12:24962958.24102393, en combinación con una o más de las siguientes regiones de ADN, incluyendo 2kb hacia el extremo 5´del sitio de inicio de la transcripción de las coordenadas de HG19: (2) chr7:50344378...50472798, (3) chr6:391739..411443, (4) chr12:52400748...52409671, y (5) chr6:163834097...163834982, o (ii) la región de gen, incluyendo 2kb hacia el extremo 5´de: (1) BCAT1, en combinación con una o más de las siguientes regiones de ADN, incluyendo 2kb hacia el extremo 5´ de: (2) IKZF1, (3) IRF4, (4) GRASP, y (5) CAHM, en una muestra biológica de dicho individuo en donde un nivel más alto de metilación de por lo menos una de las regiones de ADN del grupo(i) y/o (ii) con relación a los niveles de control es indicativo de neoplasia del intestino grueso o una predisposición al inicio de un estado neoplástico del intestino grueso.
