Abstract

Se divulgan un método y un conjunto de instrumentos particularmente para cirugías del túnel carpiano permitiendo un corte de precisión en el ligamento carpiano transversal (TCL) sin la visión o exposición directa del ligamento, excepto para su borde más proximal, pero con la guía y seguridad del cuchillo de corte, eliminando o, al menos, disminuyendo mucho, la probabilidad de líneas de corte en la dirección incorrecta y lesiones inadvertidas (iatrogénicas) a las estructuras circundantes, que comprenden, en una modalidad preferida: una barra guía canulada con forma única, a través de la cual pasa una aguja guía de metal flexible (33) que sirve como una línea guía para un cuchillo de corte con forma única o fasciotome (25) que tiene una clavija canulada similar a un dedo en el borde inferior de la porción de hoja del cuchillo más, en una segunda modalidad de la invención, una esfera (32) acoplada a la punta de la clavija desafilada superior similar a un dedo presente en el borde superior de dicha porción de hoja de dicho cuchillo; un cuchillo de corte con forma única o fasciotome con un eje curveado a 90° con, en una segunda modalidad de la invención, un par de esferas acopladas a la punta de dos clavijas desafiladas similares a un dedo y una cánula guía (40) ranurada con forma única opcional con una fenestración en su punta de extremo permitiendo el paso de la aguja guía de metal flexible (33) y, en una segunda modalidad de la invención, también un arco de metal de restricción o freno de arco (37) cerca de su extremidad distal y en sus dos orejas/manijas posteriores para su manipulación apropiada.
