Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para producir oligosacáridos fucosilados que comprende los siguientes pasos: (a) proveer un polipéptido que presente actividad de alfa-1, 3-fucosisltransferada y con la capacidad de usar lactosa, o un oligosacárido que comprende un residuo de lactosa, como sustrato aceptor; donde el polipéptido consiste en la secuencia de aminoácidos como las que se detallan en SEQ ID NO; 2, SEQ ID NO: 4 ó SEQ ID NO: 6, una secuencia de aminoácidos con al menos una identidad del 95% a la secuencia de aminoácidos como la que se detalla en SEQ ID NO. 2, una secuencia de aminoácidos con al menos una identidad del 95% a la secuencias de aminoácidos como la que se detalla en SEQ ID NO:4, o una secuencia de aminoácidos con al menos una identidad del 95% a la secuencia de aminoácidos como la que se detalla en SEQ ID NO. 6; y poner un contacto el polipéptido que presenta actividad de alfa-1, 3-fucosisltransferasa del paso (a) con una mezcla que comprende un sustrato donante que comprenda un residuo de fucosa y un sustrato aceptor que comprenda lactora o un oligosacárido que comprenda un residuo de lactosa, bajo condiciones apropiadas para que el polipéptido catalice la transferencia de un residuo de fucosa desde el sustrato donante hasta el sustrato aceptor, con lo que podrán producirse oligosacáridos fucosilados.
