Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento mejorado para la preparación de una solución de melamina/formaldehído eterificada con bajo contenido de formaldehído libre, mediante condensación en solución alcalina de formaldehído y de melamina seguida de una eterificación, caracterizado en que, en una primera fase se hace reaccionar la melamina con el formaldehído agregándole radualmente y agitando la melamina bajo forma sólida a una solución que se obtiene por mezcla de: una solución que contiene de 30 a 50 por ciento y de preferencia 36 por ciento aproximadamente de formaldehído, en una cantidad correspondiente a una relación molar formaldehído/melamina comprendida entre 5 y 11, de preferencia entre 6.5 y 10; uno o varios polioles en una cantidad que corresponde a una relación molar poli/melamina comprendida entre 3 y 5, de preferencia entre 3.5 y 4.0; trietanolamina en una cantidad que corresponde a una relación molar trietanolamina/melamina comprendida entre 0.2 y 0.6, de preferencia entre 0.3 y 0.4, a una temperatura comprendida entre 60 y 70°C, de preferencia entre 63 y 68°C, estando comprendido el pH, despues de la adición de la melamina, entre 8.5 y 9.5 y de preferencia entre 8.8 y 9.2, y separar la reacción mediante enfriamiento rápido a una temperatura comprendida entre 20 y 40°C, de preferencia entre 33 y 37°C.The present invention relates to an improved process for the preparation of an etherified melamine / formaldehyde solution with a low content of free formaldehyde, by condensation in alkaline formaldehyde and melamine solution followed by etherification, characterized in that, in a first phase, reacts melamine with formaldehyde by gradually adding and stirring melamine in solid form to a solution which is obtained by mixing: a solution containing 30 to 50 percent and preferably about 36 percent formaldehyde, in a corresponding amount at a formaldehyde / melamine molar ratio of between 5 and 11, preferably between 6.5 and 10; one or more polyols in an amount corresponding to a poly / melamine molar ratio comprised between 3 and 5, preferably between 3.5 and 4.0; triethanolamine in an amount corresponding to a triethanolamine / melamine molar ratio between 0.2 and 0.6, preferably between 0.3 and 0.4, at a temperature between 60 and 70 ° C, preferably between 63 and 68 ° C, with the pH being , after the addition of the melamine, between 8.5 and 9.5 and preferably between 8.8 and 9.2, and separate the reaction by rapid cooling to a temperature between 20 and 40 ° C, preferably between 33 and 37 ° C.
