Un acero martensítico que comprende los siguientes elementos, expresados en porcentaje en peso: 0.1 %= C = 0.4 %; 0.2 % = Mn = 2 %; 0.4 % = Si = 2 %; 0.2 % = Cr = 1 %; 0.01 % = Al = 1 %; 0 % = S = 0.09 %; 0 % = P = 0.09 %; 0 % = N = 0.09 %; y puede contener uno o más de los siguientes elementos opcionales: 0 % = Ni = 1 %; 0 % = Cu = 1 %; 0 % = Mo = 0.1 %; 0 % = Nb = 0.1 %; 0 % = Ti = 0.1 %; 0 % = V = 0.1 %; 0.0015 % = B = 0.005 %; 0 % = Sn = 0.1 %; 0 % = Pb = 0.1 %; 0 % = Sb = 0.1 %; 0 % = Ca = 0.1 %; la composición restante estando compuesta por hierro e impurezas inevitables causadas por el procesamiento, la microestructura de dicho acero tiene microestructura por porcentaje de área que comprende una presencia acumulativa de austenita residual y bainita entre 0 % y 25 %, la microestructura restante es al menos 70 % martensita, y con una presencia opcional de ferrita entre 0 % y 10 %.
