Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a una composición de homopolímero de polietileno que comprende: un primer homopolímero de etileno que tiene una densidad, d1 de 0.930 a 0.975 g/cm3, un índice de fusión, I21 de 0.01 a 10 g/10 min, y una distribución de peso molecular, Mw/Mn de menos de 2,5; y un segundo homopolímero de etileno que tiene una densidad, d2 de 0.945 a 0.980 g/cm3, un índice de fusión, I22 de al menos 1.0 g/10 min, y una distribución de peso molecular, Mw/Mn de menos de 2.5; en donde el índice de fusión, I22 del segundo homopolímero de etileno es mayor que el índice de fusión, I21 del primer homopolímero de etileno. Las composiciones de homopolímero de polietileno que pueden nuclearse tienen un peso molecular promedio ponderado, Mw de = 75,000, una distribución de peso molecular, Mw/Mn de menos de 4.0 y puede emplearse de manera útil en aplicaciones de moldeo, tales como, por ejemplo, en cierres moldeados por compresión.
