Abstract

Se proporciona un método para aumentar la expresión de una proteína heteróloga de interés en una planta o una porción de la planta. El método comprende tratar la planta o la porción de la planta con un activador del ciclo de jasmonato, e introducir una secuencia de nucleótidos enlazada funcionalmente a una región reguladora derivada de un virus de planta en el ADN y que codifica para la proteína heteróloga de interés en la planta o la porción de la planta. Alternativamente, la planta o la porción de la planta puede comprender el ácido nucleico y que codifica para la proteína heteróloga de interés, y la planta o porción de la planta se tratan con el activador de ciclo de jasmonato. La planta tratada se incuba bajo condiciones para permitan la expresión de la secuencia de nucleótidos que codifica para la proteína heteróloga de interés.
