Abstract

La presente invención proporciona películas orientadas uniaxialmente y envases formados a partir de tales películas. En un aspecto, una película orientada uniaxialmente comprende (a) una primera capa que comprende un plastómero de poliolefina que tiene una densidad de 0.865 a 0.908 g/cm3 y un índice de fusión (I2) de 0.5-6 g/10 minutos, y al menos uno de un polietileno lineal de baja densidad catalizado en un sitio que tiene una densidad de 0.912 g/cm3 a 0.935 g/cm3 y un índice de fusión (I2) de 0.5 a 6 g/10 minutos, o un polietileno de ultra baja densidad catalizado con Ziegler-Natta que tiene densidad de 0.880 g/cm3 a 0.912 g/cm3, un índice de fusión (I2) de 0.5 a 6 g/10 minutos, y una MWD de 6.0 o menos; (b) una segunda capa que comprende un polietileno de ultra baja densidad catalizado con Ziegler-Natta que tiene una densidad de 0.880 g/cm3 a 0.912 g/cm3, un índice de fusión (I2) de 0.5 a 6 g/10 minutos y una MWD de 6.0 o menos; y (c) al menos una capa interna entre la primera capa y la segunda capa que comprende al menos una poliolefina. La película está orientada en la dirección de la máquina a una relación de estiramiento de entre 4:1 y 10:1, y puede exhibir un módulo secante al 2% en dirección de la máquina de 85,000 psi o más cuando se mide según ASTM D882.
