Se describen compuestos y composiciones farmacéuticas que contienen dichos compuestos, que inhiben la actividad de Olig2. También se describen métodos de uso de dichos inhibidores de Olig2, solos y en combinación con otros compuestos, para el tratamiento del cáncer y otras enfermedades. En particular, los inhibidores de Olig2 se pueden usar para tratar el glioblastoma.
