Abstract

Se describen organismos microbianos que no ocurren de manera natural conteniendo una trayectoria de alqueno teniendo al menos un ácido nucleico exógeno que codifica una enzima de la trayectoria de alqueno expresada en una cantidad suficiente para convertir un alcohol a un alqueno. La descripción proporciona adicionalmente métodos para usar tales organismos microbianos para producir un alqueno, al cultivar un organismo microbiano que no ocurre de manera natural conteniendo una trayectoria de alqueno como se describe en la presente bajo condiciones y durante un periodo de tiempo suficiente para producir un alqueno.
