Abstract

Se describe un alambre perfilado, de grado NACE, elaborado de acero al carbono de baja aleación, destinado para ser utilizado en el sector de la explotación petrolera en altamar, que se caracteriza porque tiene la siguiente composición química, expresada en porcentajes en peso de la masa total: 0.75 < C % < 0.95; 0.30 < Mn % < 0.85; Cr = 0.4 % V = 0.16 %; Si = 1.40 % y preferentemente = 0.15 %; y opcionalmente no más de 0.06 % de Al, no más de 0.1 % de Ni y no más de 0.1 % de Cu, siendo el resto hierro y las impurezas inevitables que surgen del fundido del metal en el estado líquido, y porque el acero es obtenido, a partir del material de varilla laminada en caliente enfriada hasta la temperatura ambiente, y que tiene luego un diámetro de aproximadamente 5 a 30 mm, al someter a esta varilla inicial primeramente a un tratamiento termomecánico que comprende dos - pasos sucesivos llevados a cabo en orden, específicamente un apagado isotérmico, dándole una microestructura perlítica homogénea, seguida por una operación de transformación mecánica llevada a cabo en frío con un grado completo de endurecimiento de trabajo (o proporción de reducción) de entre 50 y 80 % a lo más, para darle al alambre su forma definitiva, y porque el alambre perfilado obtenido de este modo es luego sometido a un tratamiento térmico de restauración de corta duración llevado a cabo por debajo de AC1 (preferentemente entre 410 y 710°C) dándole las propiedades mecánicas finales deseadas.
