Abstract
Un reactor (10) comprende una pila de hojas de metal (12, 14, 15) arregladas para definir primero y segundo canales de flujo (16, 17) dentro de la pila, estando el primero y segundo canales de flujo arreglados alternativamente dentro de la pila, con elementos no estructurales permeables a gases que contienen catalizador (22, 24) removibles dentro de cada canal de flujo en el cual va a ser efectuada una reacción, donde los primeros canales de flujo son para una reacción exotérmica y los segundos canales de flujo son para una reacción endotérmica. Los canales (20) en cada extremo de la pila son tales que no se genera calor dentro de ellos. Ellos pueden ser canales sin flujo (20).
