Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para preparar un cuerpo de cerámica resistente a la alta temperatura, caracterizado por que comprende: formar una pasta aguada tixotrópica acuosa que tiene un contenido de sólidos que consiste de, esencialmente de desde aproximadamente 30 por ciento a aproximadamente 98 por ciento en peso de zirconia monoclínica, desde aproximadamente 0.5 por ciento a aproximadamente 5 por ciento en peso de un material estabilizador y hasta aproximadamente 8.5 por ciento en peso de un material aglutinante; impregnar un cuerpo poroso con la pasta aguada al sumergir el cuerpo en la pasta aguada; secar el cuerpo impregnado; calentar el cuerpo poroso impregnado a una temperatura elevada para la menos estabilizar parcialmente la zirconia y para formar el cuerpo de cerámica.
