Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento para la deshalogenación de ácidos cloroacéticos y bromoacéticos, por electrólisis de soluciones acuosas de estos ácidos, con empleo de cátodos de carbono y de ánodos también hechos de carbono o de otros materiales, habituales para electrodos, en células para electrólisis indivisas o divididas, caracterizado porque las soluciones de electrólisis acuosas, dentro de las células indivisas, así como también en la sección catódica de las células divididas, contienen además una o varias sales de metales, con una sobre-tensión de hidrógeno, cuando menos de 0.4 V (con una densidad de la corriente de 4,000 A/m cuadrado), en forma disuelta.
