Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a espuma de cerámica rígida que comprende un cuerpo reticulado de ligamentos huecos estrelazados derivados de ligamentos de metal precursor, CARACTERIZADA porque dichos ligamentos huecos están interconectados al azar en tres dimensiones, definiendo las superficies externas de dichos ligamentos canales abiertos interconectados al azar en tres dimensiones, y comprendiendo dichos ligamentos huecos un material cerámico policristalino formado in situ y que consiste esencialmente en (i) el producto de reacción de oxidación de dicho metal precursor reaccionado con un oxidante y, optativamente, (ii) constituyentes metálicos.
