Abstract

종래의 타블렛일체형 액정표시장치는 STN형 액정표시셀을 통과하는 광의 복굴절에 기인하는 착색현상이 고온환경하 (예를 들어 40℃이상)에서 회피할 수 없어 차량탑재용 제품 등에 적용하였을 때 표시품위의 저하를 일으키기 쉽다.
한쌍의 편광판(1,5)사이에 STN형의 액정표시셀(2)과 타블렛(4)을 배치하고, 이 타블렛(4)의 서로 대향하는 좌표검출용 전극 (15,16)간에 액정표시셀(2)을 통과하는 광의 복굴절에 의한 파장분산을 캔슬하기 위한 보상용 액정층(21)을 개재시킴과 동시에 이 보상용 액정층(21)속에 비도전성 스페이서입자(23)와 도전성입자(24)를 혼입시키는 구성으로 하였다.

제1도는 본 발명에 의한 타블렛일체형 액정표시장치의 일실시예를 나타내는 전체단면도.

Claims (5)

  1. 서로의 대향면에 투명전극이 형성되어 있는 한쌍의 투명기판의 사이에 180도 이상으로 꼬여 배향된 액정층을 개재시키고 있는 액정표시셀과, 상기 액정표시셀의 전면측에 배치된 타블렛과, 이들 액정표시셀 및 타블렛의 일체폼의 전면과 이면에 배치된 한쌍의 편광판을 구비하고, 상기 타블렛의 서로 대향하는 좌표검출용 전극 사이에 상기 액정표시셀을 통과하는 광의 복굴절에 의한 파장분산을 캔슬하기 위한 보상용 액정층을 개재시킴과 동시에 이 보상용 액정층속에 비도전성의 스페이서입자와, 상기 스페이서입자보다도 소경의 도전성 입자를 혼입시킨 것을 특징으로 하는 타블렛일체형 액정표시장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서입자 및 상기 도전성입자를 상기 타블렛의 투명기판에 고착시킨 것을 특징으로 하는 타블렛일체형 액정표시장치.
  3. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 스페이서입자가 탄력성을 가지는 수지구로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 타블렛일체형 액정표시장치.
  4. 제1항 내지 3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 도전성입자가 수지구에 금속도금을 실시한 입자로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 타블렛일체형 액정표시장치.
  5. 제1항 내지 4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 한쪽면에 상기 투명전극을 형성하고, 다른 면에 상기 좌표검출용 전극을 형성한 투명기판을 , 상기 액정층과 상기 보상용 액정층사이에 배치시킴으로써 이 투명기판을 상기 액정 표시셀 및 상기 타블렛 공통의 구성요소로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 타블렛일체형 액정표시장치.
