제2도는 본 발명에 따른 한 실시예의 액정표시소자의 단면도.
제3도는 본 발명에 따른 액정표시소자의 투과율 파장 의존성을 나타낸 도면.
제4도는 본 발명에 따른 액정표시소자의 작용을 설명한 도면.

Claims (1)

  1. 각 대향면에 전극이 형성되어 있고 마주 보도록 설치된 제1 및 제2의 기판(1)(1')과, 제1의 기판과 제2의 기판과의 사이에 트위스트 되도록 배치된 액정 조성물로 구성된 액정셀(5)과, 액정셀의 양측에 배치된 제1 및 제2의 편광판(3)(4)을 가지고 있는 액정 표시장치에 있어서, 제2의 기판(1')과 제2의 편광판(4)과의 사이에 광학지연판(10)이 배치되어 있고 액정셀 리터데이션 R0로 할때 광학지연판 리터데이션이 R0X0.55 내지 R0X0.80의 범위에 있으며 광학지연판의 광학축이 제2의 기판과 접촉되어 있는 액정분자의 배열방향과 100°내지 130°각도를 이룬 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시소자.
