The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a wristband band made of a composite material of stainless steel and cemented carbide.
In more detail, in forming the watch band, the existing material is made of stainless steel, but it is made of a composite material of stainless steel and cemented carbide which has high hardness and improved commerciality by attaching cemented carbide to the outer surface as one body. To provide a watch band.
Cemented carbide and stainless steel, used as wristbands, have the properties shown in Table 1.
Table 1 Properties of Band Materials for Watches
(Materials of the hard border are provided by Korea Research Institute (2) Central Research Institute, a material producer, and Namiki Precision, Japan.)
In general, wristwatches and bands have been made of the same material (for example, stainless steel bands on stainless steel bodies), but when used for the same period, the life of the band is shorter in terms of appearance and function.
In particular, in recent years, the use of cemented carbide materials that do not scratch the body and the band due to the trend of high-quality watches, but in Korea, the carbide processing technology is not only insufficient but expensive, so the band is often made of stainless steel.
In this case, the watch body, which is the actual core part, is in good condition when a certain period of time is used, but scratches or scratches are easily generated in the band with weak hardness, resulting in a drop in the overall aesthetic. It was uneconomical to buy a new band or even a new watch.
On the other hand, in order to accelerate grooves and wounds, bands are made of ceramic materials, but they are limited in design and color, making it impossible to produce various designs that match the body, and in particular, the color is limited to black and brown. It was difficult to produce a color that suits the taste of.
Due to such condensed milk, there is an urgent need for a watch band that is highly productive and durable and can produce various designs and colors.
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems to provide a wrist band for a wristwatch made of a composite material of cemented carbide and stainless steel, which can be used at a high hardness and at a low cost.
According to the method of the present invention, the cemented carbide (wc-based tungsten carbide) is appropriately cut into a watch band, and the stainless steel sheet is bonded to one side surface of the cut carbide by brazing. The finished band can be obtained by spot welding the cemented carbide to the upper surface of the base band made of stainless steel to be integrated.
First of all, in the technique of joining cemented carbide materials (e.g., WC-based tungsten carbide) to stainless steel, a brazing method using a low melting point alloy (including silver) as a welding agent can be used. There is a problem that causes the defect.
For example, in order to bond cemented carbide and stainless steel strongly, the melting point of the binder should be 800 ~ 900 ℃ or higher. In this case, the material should also be heated to 800 ~ 900 ℃ or higher. Due to the difference between the coefficient of thermal expansion of cemented carbide and stainless steel (see "Table 1" above), the cracking and cracking of cemented carbide are caused by technical problems. Since the functional part is weakened, the durability is reduced, which can not serve as a band to follow.
In order to eliminate and solve the above problems, in the present invention, a stainless steel plate having a thickness of 0.05 to 0.09 mm is used as the bonding medium, and the bonding method is characterized by using a combination of brazing and spot welding. It is produced as follows.
Carbide 1 is manufactured and processed within 0.02 mm of processing tolerance, and the stainless steel plate 2 is cut and processed to 0.05-0.99 mm of thickness simultaneously.
At this time, since the cemented carbide 1 and the stainless steel sheet 2 have different thermal expansion coefficients, the stainless steel sheet 2 should be set to a thickness that does not affect the cemented carbide 1 even after cooling after brazing welding.
Subsequently, the stainless steel plate 2 is brazed and welded to one side (the lower part in the drawing) of the above described cemented carbide 1 and integrally joined.
Thereafter, the cemented carbide 1, to which the stainless steel sheet 2 is bonded as described above, is fitted in advance to be connected to the side of the base band 3a, which is manufactured in a band shape as a stainless material, and then bonded by spot welding 4, and then cemented Finish (1) to get the finished band.
한편 기초밴드(3a)측에 초경(1)을 접속시켰을 때는 하부로부터 스테인레스 기초밴드(3a), 스테인레스 박판(2) 및 초경(1)으로서 3개층이 되는데 이와 같이 3개층이 된 상태에서 점용접(4)을 행하면 되는데 점용접(4)은 평면상에서 보았을 때 양측끝부 2곳에 행하면 된다(점용접 부분은 제3도에 있어서 "*" 부분참조).On the other hand, when the cemented carbide 1 is connected to the foundation band 3a side, there are three layers of stainless steel foundation band 3a, stainless steel plate 2 and cemented carbide 1 from the bottom. What is necessary is just to perform (4), but the spot welding 4 may be performed in two places of the both ends at the planar view (refer to the "*" part in FIG. 3).
In this way, when spot welding (4) is carried out, the stainless steel sheet (2) in the inner layer is already bonded to the cemented carbide (1) and the same material as the base band (3a), so that the stainless steel sheet (2) and It serves as a bonding medium between the base band (3a).
As described above, the present invention allows the cemented carbide 1 and the stainless steel sheet 2 to be completely bonded by brazing in advance and bonded by instantaneous and local heating by spot welding 4 when bonding to the base band 3a. There is no occurrence of cracking and cracking of the cemented carbide due to the difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion, and at the same time, no loosening occurs in the base band 3a itself, thereby ensuring the function as a band.
Therefore, by attaching a small size cemented carbide to the outer surface of the base band made of stainless steel, you can get the finished band, so you can get excellent gloss effect at low cost and at the same time use it as a body. It can be minimized to have economic feasibility.
