Abstract

본 발명은 반사형 네가티브 LCD에 관한 것으로, 입사되는 입사광이 편광되지 않도록 제1실시예로는 LCD 및 전면 편광판을 이격시키고, 제2실시예로는 LCD의 측면에 조명을 설치하여 입사광이 비취도록 구현함으로써, 세그먼트의 축소 및 콘트라스트가 저하되는 문제를 해결하였다.

Claims (3)

  1. 액정표시장치에 있어서, 화소전극과 공통전극이 각각 형성되어 있는 상/하측 액정기판과, 상기 하측 액정기판의 양측에 평행하게 부착되어 있는 후면 편광판과, 상기 상측 액정기판과 전면편광판이 예정된 간격만큼 이격되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 네가티브 액정표시장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 셀갭(d)은 1㎝ 내지 5㎝ 사이의 간격인 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 네가티브 액정표시장치.
  3. 상/하측 액정기판이 접합되어 있는 액정표시장치에 있어서, 상기 상/하측 액정기판의 측면에 광원이 설치된 것을 특징으로 하는 반사형 네가티브 액정표시장치.
