Abstract

간섭의 원리에 따라 레이저 빔으로 가능한 피트와 랜드 형태로 나선형 트랙을 따라 피트 및 랜드의 시퀀스로 순차적으로 기억된 2진 정보용 디스크형 광학 기억 매체는 선택된 전체 랜드 수가 피트의 깊이와 비교해 얕은 압축부로 광학 기준 표면에 형성되어 혼동을 일으키거나 불법 복사를 방지하도록 식별될 수 있다. 기본적으로 임의의 형태인 이 식별 특징은 매우 작아 전자 현매경으로만 식별할 수 있고, 그리고 너무 커 확산 광에서 육안으로 검지될 수 있다.

Claims (6)

  1. 피트 및 랜드 길이는 서로 독립적이며 간섭의 원리에 따라 트랙킹되어 촛점이 맞추어진 레이저 빔에 의해 판독 가능한 기억된 2진 값을 나타내며, 평탄한 광학 기준 표면에 나선형 트랙을 따라 피트 및 랜드의 시퀀스(a sequence of pits and lands)로서 순차적으로 기억되어 있는 2진 정보용 디스트 광학 기억 매체에 있어서, 선택된 전체 랜드 수는 피트(21)의 깊이와 비교하여 광학 기준 표면에 얕은 압축부(depression;23)로 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크형 광학 기억 매체.
  2. 제1항에 있서, 트랙킹 방향 및/또는 인접하는 반경 방향으로 압축부로 순차적으로 형성된 상기 랜드(23)는 육안으로 보이는 패턴(macroscopic pattern)으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크형 광학 기억 매체.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 압축부로 형성된 상기 랜드(23)는 U자형 단면프로필 및 상기 피트(21)의 폭에 거의 대응하는 폭을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크형 광학 기억 매체.
  4. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 압축부로 형성된 상기 랜드는 V자형 단면 프로필 및 상기 피트보다 작은 폭을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크형 광학 기억 매체.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항에 있어서, 압축부로 형성된 상기 랜드(23)의 깊이는 상기 피트(21)깊이의 30% 미만인 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크형 광학 기억 매체.
  6. 생성될 피트 영역에서 레이저로써 글래스 마슬의 포트레지스트를 트랙방향으로 노출시키고 그리고 포토레지스트가 노출위치에 상기 압축부를 드러낼 때가지 후속하는 글래스 마스터를 현상함으로써 제1항 내지 제5항중 어느 한 항에 따른 디스크형 광학 기억 매체용 글래스 마스터(glass master)의 제조 방법에 있어서, 상기 광학 기준 표면에 압축부로 형성될 상기 랜드의 영역에서 레이저 빔의 세기는 기억 매체를 판독하는데 필요한 기억 영역 내에서 상기 피트를 발생하는 세기 값의 최대 50%에 이르는 값으로 감소되고, 이 영역의 외부는 기술적으로 가능한 최소값과 상기 피트를 발생하는 세기 값의 100% 사이에서 배치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스크형 광학 기억 매체용 글래스 마스터의 제조 방법.
