Abstract
Description
본 발명은 이차전지 파우치용 다층 필름 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. The present invention relates to a multilayer film for a secondary battery pouch and a method for manufacturing the same.
In general, lithium secondary batteries are classified into lithium ion secondary batteries, lithium ion polymer batteries, lithium polymer batteries, and the like according to the type of electrolyte. And, depending on the external shape, it is largely divided into a cylindrical secondary battery, a prismatic secondary battery, and a pouch-type secondary battery. Among them, the pouch-type secondary battery is advantageous in weight reduction and miniaturization compared to a cylindrical secondary battery or a prismatic secondary battery, and thus attracts attention as a power source for electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles.
The pouch-type secondary battery includes a cell assembly having a structure in which unit cells including a positive electrode plate, a separator, and a negative electrode plate are repeatedly stacked, and a pouch film sealing the same as a basic structure. Furthermore, the pouch film applied to the pouch-type secondary battery includes a metal layer made of a metal material such as aluminum to block the cell assembly from the external environment. In a pouch-type secondary battery, a lead tab is bonded to each unit cell, and the lead tab is bonded to a pouch film by a method such as thermal fusion. A pouch-type secondary battery is charged and discharged through a lead tab, and a short circuit between the lead tab and the metal layer in the pouch film acts as a very important problem causing a loss of function of the secondary battery. Therefore, there is a need to develop a pouch film capable of minimizing the possibility of a short circuit with the lead tab.

According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the metal-phosphate-based layered particles may be oriented parallel to the plane direction of the insulating resin layer. Specifically, the metal-phosphate-based layered particles have a high aspect ratio and are distributed in a lateral direction parallel to the plane direction of the insulating resin layer, so that even with a low content, contact between the metal layer and the lead tab can be effectively prevented. More specifically, in the case of thermocompression bonding the multilayer film for a secondary battery pouch with the lead tab, the metal-phosphate-based layered particles are positioned between the metal layer and the lead tab at a high density per unit area, and furthermore, due to the high aspect ratio characteristics Even with a low content, overlapping regions are easily formed, thereby effectively insulating the metal layer from the lead tab. That is, when a high local pressure is applied during thermocompression bonding of the multilayer film for a secondary battery pouch, the metal-phosphate-based layered particles can effectively prevent a short circuit between the metal layer and the lead tab.

[제조예 1-1] - 금속-포스페이트계 층상 입자의 제조[Preparation Example 1-1] - Preparation of metal-phosphate-based layered particles

After completion of the reaction, unreacted substances were removed using a centrifuge, and the precipitate was dried to obtain α-ZrP layered particles.

Then, after 3 g of Tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (TRIS) as a surfactant was added, it was sonicated for about 10 minutes. Then, after stirring at room temperature for about 24 hours, the lower gel obtained by centrifugation at 17,000 rpm for about 2 hours was freeze-dried to obtain α-ZrP layered particles intercalated with a surfactant.

[실시예 1] - 절연 수지층의 표면 저항 및 접착 강도[Example 1] - Surface resistance and adhesive strength of insulating resin layer
The metal-phosphate-based layered particles (α-ZrP) obtained in Preparation Example 1-1 were prepared in a PVA aqueous solution with the composition shown in Table 1 below, and then on the surface of chemical conversion-treated Al foil (15 cm X 15 cm). According to Table 1, in Comparative Examples 2 to 4, it can be seen that the surface resistance increases as the PVA layer becomes thicker as the content of PVA increases. On the other hand, according to Examples 1 to 3, even if the content of PAV is small, it was found that the surface resistance could be improved without increasing the thickness by including the metal-phosphate-based layered particles, and the decrease in adhesion with the lead tab was also substantially reduced. was found to be almost non-existent.
[실시예 2] - 절연 수지층의 산소 투과도 [Example 2] - Oxygen permeability of insulating resin layer
The metal-phosphate-based layered particles (α-ZrP) obtained in Preparation Examples 1-1 to 1-3 were each dispersed in an aqueous PVA solution to prepare a composition as shown in Table 2 below, and then bar-coated on the plasma-treated BOPP film ( RDS No. 12) and dried at about 80° C. for about 2 hours. The oxygen permeability of the BOPP film coated with the insulating resin layer was measured at 23.0° C. and 0 RH% using an oxygen permeability measuring device (OX-
(wt%)(wt%)
According to the results of FIG. 5 , the oxygen permeability of the BOPP film coated with a bar-coated 1 wt% PVA solution without metal-phosphate-based layered particles was 26.4 cc/m2/day, and as the content of metal-phosphate-based layered particles increased, It was seen that the oxygen permeability decreased. When the metal-phosphate-based layered particles (α-ZrP) are dispersed in the PVA matrix and arranged parallel to the plane direction as in the schematic diagram of the insulating resin layer according to FIG. 6, the oxygen permeability is reduced due to the tortuosity effect. In particular, in the case of #1 and #3, when the metal-phosphate-based layered particle content was 3 wt%, respectively, it was confirmed that the oxygen permeability was around 1 cc/m2/day. Such low oxygen permeability means that the metal-phosphate-based layered particles are evenly dispersed in the PVA matrix, and therefore, an improvement in insulation properties according to the metal-phosphate-based layered particles can be expected.
