Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to a method of forming a fine wiring, and more particularly, to a method of forming a fine wiring on a flexible substrate.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0002] A flexible substrate is a substrate that provides a surface on which component elements such as various kinds of chips or passive elements can be mounted. The substrate is required to be movable or flexible in the case of bending the substrate to insert a component element A substrate which can cope with this.
Such a flexible substrate is also referred to as a flexible substrate because it has a flexible flexibility. Such a flexible substrate can be manufactured using a polymer material, and can be classified into a single-sided substrate, a double-sided substrate, and a multi-layer substrate depending on the number of wiring circuit surfaces. A plurality of passive elements such as resistors and capacitors are mounted on one surface of such a flexible substrate as a component element, such as a semiconductor chip, and a metal wiring for transmitting and receiving an electrical signal is formed between the component elements and the external input / have.
Such a metal wiring forming technology corresponds to a core material technology applied to almost all electronic parts as an underlying technology of the electronic parts industry. Particularly in recent years, miniaturization of wiring technology becomes more important due to the direct influence of the increasingly high integration and high-functioning trend of electronic components, which are becoming more and more serious, and it is absolutely required to realize metal wiring with high aspect ratio due to fine pitch.
Furthermore, as the demand for flexible devices using flexible substrates is rapidly increasing, metal wiring technology applied on flexible substrates is required to produce large areas required in various fields such as display, illumination, and organic solar cell, secure flexible substrate, And the manufacturing cost must be low.
However, in this field, it is expected that the wiring technology based on the existing etching process will soon reach the limit. In order to prevent reduction in resistance due to fine pitching, it is necessary to increase the thickness of the wiring, and it is difficult to stably form a metal wiring having a wiring width of 5 μm or less and a pitch distance of 100 μm or less by the etching process .
It is an object of the present invention to provide an economical method of forming a metal wiring having a low resistance value and a high adhesion with a flexible substrate while having a low wiring width and a pitch interval on a flexible substrate. According to the above-described forming method described so far, there is no need to carry out a high-cost lithography process in which a metal layer is entirely deposited on a flexible substrate and an etching process is performed. On the other hand, when a metal pattern is to be formed by a plating process, fine patterning of the seed layer can be easily implemented in a lift-off process, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
