Description
본 발명은 형광체 입자(螢光體粒子)의 표면에 피복층(被覆層)을 구비하는 형광체 재료(螢光體材料) 및 그것을 사용한 발광장치(發光裝置)에 관한 것이다.
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a phosphor material having a coating layer on the surface of phosphor particles, and a light emitting device using the same.
LED lamps are now attracting attention as back light or next generation lighting of liquid crystal televisions. In order to make the LED lamp emit white light, it is necessary to apply the light emission of the LED element itself with phosphors such as red, blue, green or the like, or to superimpose the light emission from the phosphor through the built-in lens. However, the phosphor has a weak point that the light emission characteristics are degraded when exposed to moisture, heat or ultraviolet light. Accordingly, in order to protect the phosphor particles from such foreign matters, there is a case of coating with a film of metal oxide.
코팅 방법에는 여러 종류가 있는데 그 중 하나가 졸겔법(sol-gel 法)이다(특허문헌1 참조). 그러나 졸겔법의 경우, 형광체 입자의 표면에 전구체막(前驅體膜)을 형성한 후에 산화분위기에서 열처리를 하여 금속산화물의 피막을 형성하기 때문에, 형광체 종류에 따라서는 열처리에 의해 특성이 저하하는 등의 영향이 발생해 버리는 경우가 있었다.There are many types of coating methods, one of which is the sol-gel method (see Patent Document 1). In the sol-gel method, however, the precursor film is formed on the surface of the phosphor particles and then heat-treated in an oxidizing atmosphere to form a metal oxide film. There was the case that the influence of.
Moreover, as another coating method, it is a method of coating the surface of fluorescent substance using microparticles | fine-particles of a metal oxide (refer patent document 2). According to this method, since fine particles of a metal oxide are used, there is no need to heat-treat in an oxidizing atmosphere, and the problem of deterioration of characteristics by heat treatment does not occur. In general, however, when using this method, it is difficult to coat the entire surface of the phosphor particles, and when observed at the electron microscope level, the exposed portion of the phosphor is confirmed. Moreover, even if it is uniformly coated at a glance, there is a problem that the lifetime of the metal oxide fine particles is shortened by the transmission of moisture or ultraviolet rays.
본 발명은 이러한 문제에 의거하여 이루어진 것으로, 내수성(耐水性)이나 내자외선성(耐紫外線性) 등의 특성을 향상시킬 수 있고, 코팅에 의한 특성의 열화를 억제할 수 있는 형광체 재료 및 발광장치를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made on the basis of such a problem, and it is possible to improve characteristics such as water resistance and ultraviolet resistance and to suppress deterioration of characteristics due to coating and phosphor material and light emitting device. The purpose is to provide.
본 발명의 형광체 재료는, The phosphor material of the present invention,
형광체 입자와,Phosphor particles,
이 형광체 입자의 표면을 피복한 피복층을 구비하고,The coating layer which coat | covered the surface of this fluorescent substance particle is provided,
피복층은 평균 입자지름이 10nm 이상 40nm 이하인 미립자가 적층(積層)된 구조를 구비하는 것이다.The coating layer has a structure in which fine particles having an average particle diameter of 10 nm or more and 40 nm or less are laminated.
본 발명의 발광장치는 본 발명의 형광체 재료를 포함하는 것이다.
The light emitting device of the present invention includes the phosphor material of the present invention.
According to the phosphor material of the present invention, by providing a coating layer having a structure in which fine particles having an average particle diameter of 10 nm or more and 40 nm or less are provided, the entire surface of the phosphor particles can be substantially covered, and at the same time, moisture or ultraviolet light is transmitted through the interface of the fine particles. I can suppress it. Therefore, characteristics such as water resistance and ultraviolet resistance can be improved, and the luminance maintenance ratio can be improved over time. In addition, since the structure of the fine particles is laminated, it can be produced even without heat treatment at the temperature at which the phosphor particles deteriorate, and it is possible to prevent the characteristic from being lowered by the heat treatment. Therefore, the fall of initial luminance can be suppressed and a high characteristic can be acquired. Therefore, according to the light emitting device using the phosphor material of the present invention, excellent characteristics can be obtained and the life can be extended.
특히 미립자의 최대 입자지름을 50nm 이하로 하면 형광체 입자를 보다 안정적으로 피복할 수 있고, 내수성이나 내자외선성 등의 특성을 보다 향상시킬 수 있다.In particular, when the maximum particle diameter of the fine particles is 50 nm or less, the phosphor particles can be more stably coated, and properties such as water resistance and ultraviolet resistance can be further improved.
또한 미립자를 두께방향으로 3입자층(粒子層) 이상 적층한 구조로 피복층을 형성하면 수분 또는 자외선의 투과를 더 효과적으로 억제할 수 있고 내수성이나 내자외선성 등의 특성을 향상시킬 수 있다.In addition, when the coating layer is formed in a structure in which the fine particles are laminated in a thickness direction of three particle layers or more, the transmission of moisture or ultraviolet rays can be more effectively suppressed, and the characteristics such as water resistance and ultraviolet resistance can be improved.
거기에 피복층의 두께를 10nm 이상 1㎛ 이하로 하면 우수한 내수성을 얻을 수 있고 동시에 높은 광투과성(光透過性)을 얻을 수 있다.When the thickness of the coating layer is set to 10 nm or more and 1 µm or less, excellent water resistance can be obtained and high light transmittance can be obtained at the same time.
In addition, the coating layer contains a combination of rare earth oxides, zirconium oxides, titanium oxides, zinc oxides, aluminum oxides, yttrium and aluminum. By including at least one metal oxide from the group consisting of oxides, magnesium oxides, and composite oxides of aluminum and magnesium, it is possible to further improve characteristics such as water resistance and ultraviolet resistance.
또한 피복층에 이트륨(Y), 가돌리늄(Gd), 세륨(Ce) 및 란탄(La)으로 이루어진 군 중에서 적어도 1종류의 원소를 포함하는 희토류 산화물을 포함시키면, 더 높은 특성을 얻을 수 있고 비용 또한 억제할 수 있다.
In addition, when the coating layer contains rare earth oxides containing at least one element from the group consisting of yttrium (Y), gadolinium (Gd), cerium (Ce), and lanthanum (La), higher properties can be obtained and cost can also be suppressed. can do.

이하에서 본 발명의 실시형태에 대하여 도면을 참조하여 상세하게 설명한다.EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION Hereinafter, embodiment of this invention is described in detail with reference to drawings.
도1은 본 발명의 제1실시형태에 관한 형광체 재료(10)를 모식적으로 나타낸 것이다. 이 형광체 재료(10)는 형광체 입자(11)와 형광체 입자(11)의 표면을 피복하는 피복층(12)을 구비하고 있다.1 schematically shows the
Examples of the
The
The average particle diameter of the
미립자(12A)의 최대 입자지름은 예를 들면 50nm 이하인 것이 바람직하다. 50nm보다 큰 입자가 존재하면 형광체 입자(11)가 노출되는 결함이 발생하기 쉬워지기 때문이다. 미립자(12A)의 최대 입자지름은 예를 들면 40nm 이하이면 보다 바람직하고 30nm 이하이면 더욱 바람직하다.It is preferable that the largest particle diameter of 12 A of microparticles | fine-particles is 50 nm or less, for example. This is because when the particles larger than 50 nm are present, defects in which the
In addition, the
The
The
또한 녹색계 형광체는 자외선에 의한 열화가 크지만, Y2O3으로 피복층(12)을 형성하면 열화를 비약적으로 억제할 수 있기 때문에 바람직하다.In addition, although the green phosphor has a large deterioration due to ultraviolet rays, it is preferable to form the
2 shows an example of the configuration of a
발광소자(22)에는 예를 들면 여기광(勵起光)으로 자외선, 청색광, 또는 녹색광을 발하는 것이 사용된다. 형광체 재료(10)로는 예를 들면 발광소자(22)에서 발광한 여기광에 의하여 적색광을 발하는 것, 청색광을 발하는 것, 녹색광을 발하는 것, 황색광을 발하는 것 등이 1종류 또는 필요에 따라 혼합되어 사용된다.The
Thus, according to this embodiment, by providing the
특히 미립자(12A)의 최대 입자지름을 50nm 이하로 하면, 형광체 입자(11)를 보다 안정적으로 피복할 수 있고 내수성이나 내자외선성 등의 특성을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있다.In particular, when the maximum particle diameter of the
또한 미립자를 두께방향으로 3입자층 이상 적층한 구조로 피복층(12)을 형성하면 수분 또는 자외선의 투과를 더 효과적으로 억제할 수 있고 내수성이나 내자외선성 등의 특성을 향상시킬 수 있다.In addition, when the
거기에 피복층(12)의 두께를 10nm 이상 1㎛ 이하로 하면, 우수한 내수성을 얻을 수 있고 동시에 높은 광투과성을 얻을 수 있다.When the thickness of the
이에 더하여 피복층(12)에 희토류 산화물, 산화지르코늄, 산화티탄, 산화아연, 산화알루미늄, 이트륨과 알루미늄의 복합산화물, 산화마그네슘 및 알루미늄과 마그네슘의 복합산화물로 이루어진 군 중에서 적어도 1종류의 금속산화물을 포함시키면, 내수성이나 내자외선성 등의 특성을 보다 향상시킬 수 있다.In addition, the

A slurry prepared by dispersing
FIG. 3 shows an example of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) photograph of the obtained
계속해서 얻어진 형광체 재료(10)를 사용하여 도2에 나타낸 것과 같은 발광장치(20)를 제작했다. 발광소자(22)에는 자외선을 발하는 것이 사용되었다.

피복층을 형성하지 않은 형광체 입자를 그대로 형광체 재료로써 사용한 것을 제외하고는 실시예1과 동일하게 발광장치를 제작했다.
A light emitting device was constructed in exactly the same way as in Example 1 except that the phosphor particles without a coating layer were used as the phosphor material.
(비교예1-2)(Comparative Example 1-2)

Each
As shown in Fig. 8, according to Example 1 in which the
(실시예2-1~2-4, 비교예2-1)(Examples 2-1 to 2-4, Comparative Example 2-1)
The
As shown in Table 1, good results were obtained when the average particle diameter of the
(실시예3)(Example 3)
The
As shown in Table 2 and FIG. 10, in Example 3, the luminance retention was significantly improved compared to Comparative Example 1-1 in which the
(실시예4, 비교예4)(Example 4, Comparative Example 4)
The
As shown in Table 3, in Example 4 in which the average particle diameter of the
In order to verify these causes, the
As mentioned above, although this invention was demonstrated through embodiment, this invention is not limited to the said embodiment, It can variously change. For example, in the above embodiment, the
