Abstract
Description
Claims (9)
- 절연층을 개재하여 형성된 상부 전극과 하부 전극을 갖고, 상기 상부 전극에 전계를 통하게 하는 전계 개구부를 형성하고, 상기 하부 전극과의 사이에 전압을 인가하여 액정 분자를 구동하는 액정 표시 장치로서,상기 하부 전극의 하부에 층간 절연막을 개재하여 배치되는 상부 전극용 배선과, 상기 상부 전극을 접속하기 위해 상기 하부 전극을 일부 제거하는 창 형상 개구부가 형성되고,상기 창 형상 개구부 부근에서의 상기 전계 개구부의 길이 방향의 편측 단부가, 상기 창 형상 개구부와 평면 배치적으로 겹쳐져 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 창 형상 개구부는, 상기 상부 전극의 외주 단부보다 내측에 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 전계 개구부의 길이 방향의 편측 단부가 상기 창 형상 개구부와 평면 배치적으로 겹치는 영역은, 상기 창 형상 개구부 부근에서 디스클리네이션의 발생을 억제하는 영역인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 전계 개구부는 상기 창 형상 개구부로 분단되고, 분단된 각각의 상기 전계 개구부의 길이 방향의 편측 단부가 상기 창 형상 개구부와 평면 배치적으로 겹쳐져 배치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 상부 전극은, 스위칭 소자를 통하여 데이터선에 접속되는 화소 전극이며,상기 창 형상 개구부의 상기 절연층에는, 상기 스위칭 소자의 드레인 배선과 상기 화소 전극을 접속하기 위한 컨택트홀이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 전극 개구부의 길이 방향의 편측 단부가 상기 컨택트홀과 평면 배치적으로 겹쳐져 있지 않은 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 상부 전극은, 공통 전극 배선에 접속되는 공통 전극이며,상기 창 형상 개구부의 상기 절연층에는, 상기 공통 전극 배선의 공통 전극 접속부와 상기 공통 전극을 접속하기 위한 컨택트홀이 형성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 전계 개구부는 길이 방향의 양 단부가 폐쇄된 슬릿 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 전계 개구부는 길이 방향의 편측 단부가 개방된 빗살 형상인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
