Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- 출력과 용량을 달리하는 둘 또는 그 이상의 단위모듈들로 구성된 모듈 어셈블리; 전지팩의 전류 및/또는 전압을 측정하여 제어부로 송부하는 검출부; 상기 검출부로부터의 전류 및/또는 전압 신호에 따라 상기 모듈 어셈블리에서 최적의 단위모듈을 선택하는 제어부; 및 상기 제어부의 설정에 따라 상기 모듈 어셈블리에서 특정 단위모듈을 전지팩 외부 입출력 단자에 전기적으로 연결하는 스위칭부;를 포함하는 것으로 구성된 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 단위모듈은 니켈 수소 금속 이차전지, Ni-Cd 이차전지, 캐패시터 및/또는 리튬 이차전지를 단위전지로서 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 에너지 저장 시스템.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 모듈 어셈블리는 상대적으로 고출력/저용량의 단위모듈과 상대적으로 저출력/대용량의 단위모듈로 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 상대적으로 고출력/저용량의 단위모듈은 수퍼 캐패시터 및/또는 이차전지를 단위전지로서 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 수퍼 캐패시터는 전기이중층 캐패시터 및/또는 유사 캐패시터에 기반한 것이고, 상기 이차전지는 리튬 이차전지인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 스위칭부는 메카니컬 릴레이 스위치 또는 솔리드 스테이트 릴레이(Solid State Relay)나 반도체 릴레이 등의 전기적인 스위치(Electrical Switch)인 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 검출부는 실시간 또는 주기적으로 전지팩의 전류 및/또는 전압를 측정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 검출부는 전류 검출부로서 스위칭부와 전지팩 외부 입출력 단자 사이에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 검출부는 전압 검출부로서 전지팩 외부 입출력 단자의 두 단자들 사이에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 8 항 또는 제 9 항에 있어서, 상기 전류 검출부와 전압 검출부를 모두 포함하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는 BMS(Battery Management System)에 포함되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 11 항에 있어서, 상기 BMS는 단위모듈 각각의 용량 상태를 검출하는 전압 검출부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전지팩은 전기자동차, 하이브리드 전기자동차, 로봇, 전기자전거, 또는 전기 스쿠터등의 동력원으로 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전지팩.
- 외부 디바이스의 작동시 제어부는 모듈 어셈블리의 고출력/저용량 단위모듈이 외부 입출력 단자에 연결되도록 스위칭부를 설정하는 단계;검출부는 전지팩의 전류 및/또는 전압을 측정하여 제어부로 측정된 신호를 송부하는 단계; 및상기 제어부는 상기 측정된 신호로부터 산출된 값이 소정의 임계 설정값 이하일 때 저출력/고용량 단위모듈이 외부 입출력 단자에 연결되도록 상기 스위칭부에 신호를 송부하는 단계;를 포함하는 것으로 구성된 제 1 항에 따른 전지팩의 작동방법.
- 제 14 항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는 가동 중인 저출력/대용량 단위모듈의 전 압이 소정의 임계 설정값 이하일 때, 고출력/저용량 단위모듈이 외부 입출력 단자에 연결되도록 상기 스위칭부에 신호를 송부하는 단계를 더 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 작동방법.
