Abstract

A shifting mechanism of an intermediate transmission is provided to simplify structure of a link by reducing the number of shift levers, to cut down material cost by reducing the number of parts, and to prevent accidents by restricting wrong operation of the shift lever. A shifting mechanism of an intermediate transmission(20) includes first and second rails(21,22) installed in parallel with the intermediate transmission mounted in a four-wheel drive vehicle to fix a shift fork, a shift link(23) simultaneously connected to the first and second rails to interlock the first and second rails, a rod(24) connected and installed to an end of the shift link, and a shift lever(25) connected to an end of the rod to operate the rod. The first rail is mounted to shift from a 4x2 range into a 4x4 range, and the second rail is installed to shift from a high range through a neutral range into a low range. An elongated hole is formed in a connection portion of the shift link connected to the first and second rails.
