Claims (6)
- 각각에 소정 수의 액정 표시 소자가 배치된 복수의 주사 전극, 및 해당 복수의 주사 전극에 교차하고 각각이 상기 소정 수의 액정 표시 소자에 대응하는 소정 수의 신호 전극을 이용하여, 상기 각 액정 표시 소자에 해당 각 액정 표시 소자가 표시해야 할 계조를 표시시키는 액정 표시 소자의 구동 방법으로서,상기 복수의 주사 전극에 인가하는 전압을 규정하는 직교 함수에 의해 특정되는, 미리 정해진 3 종류의 전압 중 한 종류의 전압의 주사선을 3개의 주사 전극에 동시에 인가함으로써, 상기 3개의 주사 전극의 각각에 배치된 상기 소정수의 액정 표시 소자를 동시에 선택하는 단계와,상기 각 신호 전극에 상기 계조를 규정하는 표시 데이터에 의해 특정되는, 상기 3 종류의 전압 중 한 종류의 전압의 데이터 신호를 인가하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 소자의 구동 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 3 종류의 전압 중 최대 전압과 최소 전압은 서로 진폭이 동일하고, 극성이 상이한 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 소자의 구동 방법.
- 청구항 1에 기재된 액정 표시 소자의 구동 방법을 이용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 전자기기.
- 복수의 주사 전극과 복수의 신호 전극이 서로 교차 배치되어 이루어지고, 해당 주사 전극을 동시에 선택하는 n개(단, n≥2)의 주사 전극마다 그룹으로 나누어, 이들 그룹 단위로 상기 주사 전극이 선택되는 액정 표시 장치에 있어서,동일한 그룹에 속하는 주사 전극에는 각각 소정 기간에서 서로 직교하도록 한 선택 신호가 동시에 인가되고, 구동 전위 레벨수가 3 레벨이고 또한 주사 전극에 인가하는 최대 전압 진폭과 신호 전극에 인가하는 최대 전압 진폭을 동일하게 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 표시 장치.
