Description
The present invention relates to a bonding technology of dissimilar metals, and more particularly, to a brazing bonding method between dissimilar metals using a laser.
Recently, in order to reduce carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions and maximize energy efficiency, attempts to increase specific strength by using a combination of light materials such as steel and aluminum or magnesium have been frequently performed. The demand is increasing day by day. For example, a combination of a steel material generally applied to automobiles and the like or an aluminum or magnesium material for weight reduction is essential. However, these materials are not only prone to cracking at the joint due to the formation of a brittle intermetallic compound at the interface, but also difficult to weld and braze because of their large coefficient of thermal expansion. In addition, if the calorie control is not precisely controlled, melting is likely to occur or oxidize.
On the other hand, as a conventional technique for joining dissimilar metals, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2008-183612 uses a wavelength of near-infrared or far-infrared light in which a dilution rate of about 10 to 40% occurs due to melting of the insertion metal and the base metal by a laser beam. Although the laser brazing method was introduced, this method is not applicable to the joining of steel and non-ferrous metals, especially magnesium or aluminum, because the intermetallic compound formed by the reaction with the base metal is formed in a large amount at the interface, so that cracking is easy and brittle. This is because it is difficult to secure the strength of the cursor.
The present invention provides a method of brazing bonding between dissimilar metals that can improve the bonding characteristics between dissimilar metals by optimizing process parameters in bonding dissimilar materials of steel and nonferrous (Al, Mg), aluminum and magnesium by laser brazing bonding. It aims to provide.
In the brazing bonding method between dissimilar metals using a laser according to the present invention, the first metal panel and the second metal panel selected from the dissimilar metal as any one of an iron metal, an aluminum metal, and a magnesium metal may be disposed to overlap each other. A first step and a second step of interposing an intermetallic metal made of an aluminum metal or a magnesium metal in a joint portion between the first and second metal panels; and 1.2 × 10 4 W /
In the third step, inert gas may be injected into the junction to block contact with the atmosphere. The inert gas may be an argon gas and may be injected at a flow rate of 10 l / min or more and 20 l / min or less with respect to the irradiation area of 12
In addition, the brazing angles of the first and second metal panels may be set to 10 ° or more and 30 ° or less with respect to the joint surface. Furthermore, before the third step, the method may further include disposing a heat insulating material on each outer side of the bonding surface of the first and second metal panels. Additionally, in the third step, the joining surfaces of the first and second metal panels may be inclined at 30 ° or more and 60 ° or less with respect to the irradiation direction of the laser beam.
According to the brazing joining method between dissimilar metals according to the present invention, it is possible to optimize the width of the brazing joint and to obtain a good surface state, and to secure the joint integrity.

1 is a perspective view for schematically illustrating a dissimilar metal brazing bonding process using a laser according to the present invention. In the following description, 'heterometal' refers to a metal having different properties, for example, a junction between an iron metal and an aluminum metal having different melting points, a junction between an iron metal and a magnesium metal, and an aluminum metal and a magnesium metal. Means junction. In the present embodiment, an example of joining an automotive plated steel sheet and an aluminum metal plate, a plated steel plate and a magnesium metal plate, and an aluminum plate and a magnesium plate to bond dissimilar materials will be described.
The intermetallic brazing process using the laser according to the present invention preferably uses a diode laser brazing facility (10). Using a diode laser is not only easy to control the junction to be bonded to low energy density, but also has excellent absorption rate in aluminum and magnesium, and thus can be an optimal brazing junction heat source for heterojunctions such as aluminum or magnesium having a low melting point. Therefore, since the brazing joint can be secured by melting the insert metal at the same time as the preheating, there is an advantage of minimizing thermal damage to other portions, and there is an advantage that the precise control and automation by the program are easy.
Here, the diode
Here, the
In the brazing process through the laser brazing facility according to the present invention, the
In brazing bonding of dissimilar metals using aluminum or magnesium insertion metals, it is preferable to block the bonding site from the atmosphere with an inert gas to prevent oxidation during bonding. Here, argon gas may be used as the inert gas. In particular, in order to completely block the bonding site from the atmosphere, the flow rate of argon gas supplied to the bonding site through the
Meanwhile, as shown in FIG. 2, the bonding surface P of the
When brazing bonding between dissimilar metals according to the present invention, it is preferable to heat the material side having a relatively high melting point and thermal conductivity based on the center of the
In the brazing process, which of the
3 is a photograph illustrating a bonding cross section between brazed bonded dissimilar metals according to the above-described conditions. 3A shows the complete joint surface by interfacial bonding with little dilution between the
On the other hand, Figure 4a is a result of measuring the hardness (Hardness) according to the distance (Distance) along the cross section before and after the brazed area after brazing the steel (Steel) and magnesium alloy plate (AZ31B), Figure 4b Is the result of measuring the hardness according to the distance along the joint cross section before and after the joint after performing the brazing joining of the aluminum alloy plate (Al5083) and the magnesium alloy plate (AZ31B). As shown in Figures 4a and 4b, it can be seen that a stable brazing junction is formed in both embodiments.
