Claims (20)
- 방송 통신 시스템에서 핸드오프 방법으로서,활성 세트의 하나 이상의 섹터로부터 채널에 데이터를 브로드케스트하는 섹터들의 리스트를 수신하는 단계;최대 임계치를 초과하는 품질 메트릭을 갖는 각각의 섹터를 상기 활성 세트에 할당하는 단계;최소 임계치 아래인 품질 메트릭을 갖는 각각의 섹터를 비활성 세트에 할당하는 단계; 및상기 활성 세트의 각각의 섹터로부터 브로드캐스팅된 데이터를 모니터링하는 단계를 포함하는, 핸드오프 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 활성 세트 및 상기 비활성 세트에 할당하는 단계 이후에 상기 채널에 데이터를 브로드케스트하는 섹터들의 하나 이상의 후속하는 리스트를 수신하는 단계를 더 포함하는, 핸드오프 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 품질 메트릭은, 파일럿 신호 강도, 비트 에러 레이트, 및 섹터에 의해 송신된 신호의 패킷 에러 레이트 중 하나 이상인, 핸드오프 방법.

- 방송 통신 시스템에서 핸드오프 장치로서,프로세서; 및활성 세트의 하나 이상의 섹터로부터 채널에 데이터를 브로드케스트하는 섹터들의 리스트를 수신하고, 최대 임계치를 초과하는 품질 메트릭을 갖는 각각의 섹터를 상기 활성 세트에 할당하고, 최소 임계치 아래인 품질 메트릭을 갖는 각각의 섹터를 비활성 세트에 할당하며, 상기 활성 세트의 각각의 섹터로부터 브로드캐스팅된 데이터를 모니터링하도록 구성되는, 상기 프로세서에 커플링되는 회로를 포함하는, 핸드오프 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 회로는, 상기 활성 세트 및 상기 비활성 세트에 할당 이후에 상기 채널에 데이터를 브로드케스트하는 섹터들의 하나 이상의 후속하는 리스트를 수신하도록 더 구성되는, 핸드오프 장치.
- 제 6 항에 있어서,상기 품질 메트릭은, 파일럿 신호 강도, 비트 에러 레이트, 및 섹터에 의해 송신된 신호의 패킷 에러 레이트 중 하나 이상인, 핸드오프 장치.

- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 활성 세트 및 상기 비활성 세트에 할당 이후에 상기 채널에 데이터를 브로드케스트하는 섹터들의 하나 이상의 후속하는 리스트를 수신하는 수단을 더 포함하는, 핸드오프 장치.
- 제 11 항에 있어서,상기 품질 메트릭은, 파일럿 신호 강도, 비트 에러 레이트, 및 섹터에 의해 송신된 신호의 패킷 에러 레이트 중 하나 이상인, 핸드오프 장치.
