Claims (8)
- 게이트 전압에 따른 전류를 피(被)구동 소자에 흐르게 하는 구동 트랜지스터와,상기 피구동 소자와 전기적으로 직렬로 접속된 저항 소자와,상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트와 데이터선 사이에서 온(on) 또는 오프(off)하는 스위칭 트랜지스터를 갖는 화소 회로의 구동 방법으로서,상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온시키는 동시에, 상기 피구동 소자에 흐르게 해야 할 목표 전류에 따른 전압을 상기 데이터선에 인가하는 제 1 스텝과,상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 오프시키는 제 2 스텝과,상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온시키는 동시에, 상기 목표 전류에 따른 전압에 상기 저항 소자의 양단(兩端) 전압을 가산(加算)한 가산 전압을 상기 데이터선에 인가하는 제 3 스텝과,상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 오프시키는 동시에, 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압을 상기 제 3 스텝에서의 상기 저항 소자의 양단 전압만큼 감소시키는 제 4 스텝을 갖고,상기 제 1 및 제 2 스텝을 통하여 상기 피구동 소자에 전류를 흐르게 하는 기간과, 상기 제 3 및 제 4 스텝을 통하여 상기 피구동 소자에 전류를 흐르게 하는 기간을 동일한 길이로 하고,상기 제 1 및 제 2 스텝과 상기 제 3 및 제 4 스텝을 번갈아 실행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소 회로의 구동 방법.

- 게이트 전압에 따른 전류를 피구동 소자에 흐르게 하는 구동 트랜지스터와,상기 피구동 소자와 전기적으로 직렬로 접속된 저항 소자와,상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트와 데이터선 사이에서 온 또는 오프하는 스위칭 트랜지스터와,한쪽 끝이 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트에 접속된 용량 소자와,공통단(共通端)이 상기 용량 소자의 다른쪽 끝에 접속되고, 한쪽 끝이 소정의 전위로 유지된 전위선에 접속되며, 다른쪽 끝이 상기 저항 소자의 한쪽 끝에 접속된 단극 쌍투(single-pole double-throw) 스위치를 갖고,제 1 프레임의 선택 기간, 제 1 프레임의 비(非)선택 기간, 제 2 프레임의 선택 기간, 제 2 프레임의 비선택 기간으로 이어지며,상기 제 1 프레임의 선택 기간에서는 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온시키는 동시에, 상기 피구동 소자에 흐르게 해야 할 목표 전류에 따른 전압을 상기 데이터선에 인가하고,상기 제 1 프레임의 비선택 기간에서는 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 오프시키며,상기 제 2 프레임의 선택 기간에서는 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온시키는 동시에, 상기 목표 전류에 따른 전압에 상기 저항 소자의 양단 전압을 가산한 가산 전압을 상기 데이터선에 인가하고,상기 제 2 프레임의 비선택 기간에서는 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 오프시키는 동시에, 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압을 상기 제 2 프레임의 선택 기간에서의 상기 저항 소자의 양단 전압만큼 감소시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소 회로.
- 삭제
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 단극 쌍투 스위치는,상기 제 1 프레임의 선택 기간 및 비선택 기간, 그리고 상기 제 2 프레임의 비선택 기간에서는 그 공통단과 한쪽 끝 사이를 폐쇄시키는 한편,상기 제 2 프레임의 선택 기간에서는 그 공통단과 다른쪽 끝 사이를 폐쇄시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 화소 회로.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 피구동 소자는 흐르는 전류에 따른 휘도(輝度)로 발광하는 전기 광학 소자인 것을 특징으로 하는 화소 회로.
- 주사선과 데이터선에 대응하여 설치되는 화소 회로와,주사선을 구동하는 주사선 구동 회로와,데이터선을 구동하는 데이터선 구동 회로를 갖는 전기 광학 장치로서,상기 화소 회로는,흐르는 전류에 따른 휘도로 발광하는 피구동 소자에 게이트 전압에 따른 전류를 흐르게 하는 구동 트랜지스터와,상기 피구동 소자와 전기적으로 직렬로 접속된 저항 소자와,상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트와 데이터선 사이에서 온 또는 오프하는 스위칭 트랜지스터와,한쪽 끝이 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트에 접속된 용량 소자와,공통단이 상기 용량 소자의 다른쪽 끝에 접속되고, 한쪽 끝이 소정의 전위로 유지된 전위선에 접속되며, 다른쪽 끝이 상기 저항 소자의 한쪽 끝에 접속된 단극 쌍투 스위치를 갖고,제 1 프레임의 선택 기간, 제 1 프레임의 비선택 기간, 제 2 프레임의 선택 기간, 제 2 프레임의 비선택 기간으로 이어지며,상기 제 1 프레임의 선택 기간에서는 상기 단극 쌍투 스위치가 그 공통단과 한쪽 끝 사이를 폐쇄시키고, 상기 주사선 구동 회로가 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온시키며, 상기 데이터선 구동 회로가 상기 피구동 소자에 흐르게 해야 할 목표 전류에 따른 전압을 상기 데이터선에 인가하고,상기 제 1 프레임의 비선택 기간에서는 상기 주사선 구동 회로가 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 오프시키며,상기 제 2 프레임의 선택 기간에서는 상기 단극 쌍투 스위치가 그 공통단과 다른쪽 끝 사이를 폐쇄시키고, 상기 주사선 구동 회로가 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 온시키며, 상기 데이터선 구동 회로가 상기 목표 전류에 따른 전압에 상기 저항 소자의 양단 전압을 가산한 가산 전압을 상기 데이터선에 인가하고,상기 제 2 프레임의 비선택 기간에서는 상기 단극 쌍투 스위치가 그 공통단과 한쪽 끝 사이를 폐쇄시키고, 상기 주사선 구동 회로가 상기 스위칭 트랜지스터를 오프시키며, 상기 구동 트랜지스터의 게이트 전압을 상기 제 2 프레임의 선택 기간에서의 상기 저항 소자의 양단 전압만큼 감소시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기 광학 장치.
- 제 7 항에 기재된 전기 광학 장치를 갖는 전자 기기.
